I'm the one calling out a person for repeatedly bragging about making someone commit suicide and you're calling me the bully while defending that person

    Fucking amazing

    Also, what?

I keep saying "well meaning" for a reason. Whether @Tererun has done the things she says she's done, her identity as a woman does not play into that. You can be frustrated with that, but it's the bringing in her gender part that is the rub. Then when you doubled down on the notion of calling her whatever you want, it highlights the fact that transgender people are often at the mercy of the established system. If you're an ally, then you can learn this simple practice: if someone tells you they are transgender, if they tell you that they're a man, or a woman, or non-binary, just accept them. You can dislike their clothing choices, their behavior towards others, whatever you like, but their gender isn't a choice.

Yep. I haven't said much to anyone, because I wanted to just quietly adjust things here and there, and be satisfied with that. A few other people know, they've known for months. One small group I talked to, a friend had a really bad reaction, which I was afraid would happen, and so I've been more hesitant to say anything. When you repeatedly denied @Tererun her gender, I guess I got hot headed enough to say something about it.

I use the correct pronouns for people all the time and have no problem with it, however I'm not the kind of guy to give someone the benefit of the doubt when they come here bragging about how deceitful, dishonest and damaging they are. And that is perfectly fine :)

If @Tererun wants to prove it then I'm more tham happy to abide with accepted customs

Ok. Was not aware. Good luck with all that I guess

Expressed an obsession with posters' genders. Unless you're peeking, how would you know? :bailey:

Pelosi is sending the articles next week

Don't be surprised if some of these low performing candidates use the impeachment trial as a reason to end their campaigns.

You realize what this means, don’t you? If she follows Nova’s example, then about a year or two, she’ll do a complete 180 on her politics and start screaming about how Fox News and Breitbart have been overran by lefties and only a handful of true Republicans remain at OAN.

Actually, for most transgender people, their politics tend to skew left because of their new perspective. So if you consider where I am right now, then in a year it's more likely to be this:

    To be fair...
    I accepted myself in 2008
    I voted for John McCain
In 2012 I was shilling Gary Johnson hard because I was trying desperately to cling to "for equality but still not giving up the right wing brainwashing otherwise
In 2016 I'd come around to questioning whether I'd been lied to about more than sexuality/gender/religion ...but I still backed Johnson well into August until it became clear that even with the worst possible choices by each major party, a third party was STILL not going to make much of a dent. So if you count at least from 2012 (and it would be fair to count from 2008) and allowing that I've been pretty much full progressive for a couple of years now...

the political transition took 5-9 years to complete.

Well Bennet sure as fuck should. Don't think Booker is ready to give up quite yet and Amy will absolutely wait and see how Iowa plays out (which she'll be fifth, get no delegates, and THEN drop out)

    True story:

You can wildly disapprove of someone without rejecting their professed identity.

Case in in point, that Jessica Yaniv person in Canada. Basically NO trans person can stand her existence....but as long as she calls herself female we don't put up with others calling her anything other than "her.

Not because we GAF about her, but because there's principle involved.

since you have experience your political "muscle memory" should kick in when you wake up and switch back!
It should only take about half the time. Four more years of Trump should get you jump started!

If the concept of God had to be told to someone, then how did the idea originate?

There’s nothing anyone can say that would change your opinion. It’s your faith, for better or for worse. I see nothing to gain by trying.

Who said a delusion has to be told to someone to start it? Delusional people are commonplace. Those who pay attention to delusional people are the ones perpetuating it, not starting it. Someone wrote down the stuff the crazy guy at the mall was shouting about eternal damnation and you made it a religion.

That's leaving aside the more charitable notion that someone 2020 years ago just came up with a story that had the moral of "be awesome to each other" because like the creators of Dr. Who, Star Trek, Star Wars and countless other works of fiction they wanted a tale where we rise above our base natures.... and you built a fucking religion around the hairstyles of Bill and/or Ted rather than the "don't be fucking dicks" stuff.

This. Animism is the oldest form of spirituality we know, because it's so easy for the human brain to make connections. Loud rumbling sounds from the sky? The gods are displeased. They toss their angry bolts of fire at the ground. Plants, animals, they all have spirits. It's not a complex thing. All modern religion does is take that spirituality and codify it (which kills it, IMO).
