I can actually agree with this. Since the republicans are covering up for trump and in no way will hold him accountable for breaking the law get the sham senate voting done with and let us label the republicans with Trump's cover up and crimes for the election while releasing Bernie and Warren to campaign in the dem primaries with this ammo. Screw pelosi and her delay for the hillary whores.

I only have to disagree with you just holding trump accountable. Let us remember that every single republican has covered up for trump in this case and allowed him to cover up. Without the senate and moscow midnight mitch and his crew trump could not have done what he did.

This isn't surprising for some, myself included. Jay Sekulow has always been a lying shitgibbon. Now maybe the people who keep sending the asshole money will learn.

Then again, there's people who keep sending money to Jimmy Swaggart, so maybe not.

    GOOD!!!!

That's how they designed the legislative branch.

The founders understood that the House with nothing to check it might go wild. That's why the Senate is there. To put the brakes on the House.

    Bullshit.

The House could have subpoenaed them.

    They didn't.

That's their fault. Not the Presidents. The office of president is not inferior to the legislative branch. Executive privilege is there for a reason. All the House had to do was go to court and if the judiciary ruled in the House's favor than those subpoenaed would have to testify.

Let's look at what the assholes in the House did with Bolton's number two guy:

    #1 They subpoena him.
#2 He took it to court.
#3 Instead of fighting it in court the House withdrew the subpoena and said, "never mind"
#4 The House than claimed Trump was obstructing Congress.
#5 The House now demands the Senate subpoena witnesses that the House never bothered to call.

Also a lie. A flat out 100% lie.

Donald Trump is President. I've stopped wondering how Shit Weasels convince others that they're competent enough to handle crucial roles in business and government, because the answer is always about making as much money as possible, as quickly as possible, and fuck whomever and whatever it kills.

Impeachment Article 1: daddy has been a big fat meanie and we hate his guts.

Impeachment Article 2: and he tried to ask the courts to decide on the scope of exec privilege.

    EDIT:
Nobody who voted for Trump thinks the case has any merit. Plus many who didn't vote for Trump (including e.g. legal experts like Jon Turley and Alan Dershowitz, and leftist journalists like Matt Taibi and Aaron Matte) agree that the case has no merit.

Meanwhile, the only people who think impeachment case has merit are Dem politicians (including 90% of media, the Dem party voice), or already hated or disliked Trump since before election day 2016. The only.

he was a very successful lawyer and mayor - when he was younger & in his prime. His shelf life is expired - he should seriously consider retiring from any and all legal/political endeavors.

The problem with your theory lies in the fact that your label won't stick. It's not working with non-leftist psychos, most importantly those in swing states. But still...it'll make you feel better. Oh, and you do realize that releasing Bernie and Warren into those states can only help Prez, don't you? Which nutcase is your preferred candidate, by the way?

This is an excellent Republican talking point. But as Adam Schiff and the Democrats have pointed out on numerous occasions, the House can’t be handcuffed by a judiciary that moves at a snail’s pace. Justice delayed is justice denied.

Donald Trump has been gaming the court system his entire life. By obstructing Congress on every witness and every request related to this impeachment inquiry, Trump is saying he would rather run out the clock, knowing that every major decision that goes against him will be stayed and appealed until it reaches the cozy confines of the conservative Supreme Court.

The beautiful thing about the Constitution is that it allows the duly elected House to address matters of impeachment without waiting for the judiciary. In an ironic twist, the Democrats are allowing the courts to maintain the veneer of impartiality because now John Roberts doesn’t have to overturn 230 years of judicial precedent and hand Trump the 5-4 political decisions he craves.

The evidence against Trump is so great the Democrats were compelled to impeach him. He will now be impeached forever. Crucially, the American people have all the facts to make an informed decision in November.

Actually, the judicial branch is there to do exactly that. To resolve disputes exactly like these. Had the House not been overzealous and fueled with rage, they may very well have compelled testimony had they followed the process. Now, we'll see what happens. It may be that it goes to the courts or never comes to pass at all.

Impeached forever is right. It's a badge of courage for Prez and he wears it well. He continues to do the work of the American people and runs roughshod over the left on a daily basis. Which one of your collection of retards is going to beat him? Remind me? It's laughable.

ETA - Your "he will now be impeached forever" quote shows your unhinged rage and hate as well. How are you going to feel when RBG is being replaced by Prez? Your meltdown will be epic. You'll be melted down forever!

so far my prophecy is playing out: the Democrats will be scrambling around like monkeys trying to fuck a football and election day will sneak up behind them and bite them in the ass and they will lose...…...yet again.

They have ONE JOB! Of course that is to beat Trump. Yes that's obviously their ultimate goal, but beating Trump could be a result of just forgetting about beating Trump (by trying to "out Trump" Trump himself) and focusing on the process of convincing the U.S. voters that they have a superior product! Trump bad! :shakefist: yes we get it, we hear it 24/7 , 365. So demonstrate that you can build that better mousetrap instead of infighting about who will be the antiTrump. You had three years and change so far and don't have much that's tangible or workable to show the U.S. voters. Just my take on it.

If someone has been sold a shit sandwich, it's up to them not to buy the shit sandwich again, not complain that the shop next door doesn't put the right dressing on its turkey sandwiches.

Now if they wanna argue they LIKE the taste of shit, or would rather eat shit than turkey because they think eating turkey leads to communism, fine. Just don't complain that no-one wants to kiss you.

And this sentence shows that you and people who think like you are direct threats to this country.

You would throw out the judiciary in order to attack Trump. You don't realize or don't care that you'd would be damaging the rule of law in this country, future POTUS, and the Constitution.

We have three branches of government. They are equal to each other. The judicial branch mediates disputes between the executive and the legislative. The executive branch has the right to assert executive privilege. POTUS, whoever is holding that title at the time, has the legal right to advisors that can give POTUS advice without having to worry they will be dragged into Congress every five minutes to report on every conversation POTUS has with those advisors.

Adam Schiff, the Democrats, and you certainly weren't complaining about that snails pace court system when the Republicans were subpoenaing the Obama administration for documents and testimony of his advisers. And you know damn well that if the Republicans had said, "the House can’t be handcuffed by a judiciary that moves at a snail’s pace. Justice delayed is justice denied" you'd be screaming from the roof tops against them. I would not have changed my opinion though because I understand that the Office of the Presidency and the Executive Branch of government is more important then the usual gotcha games both sides play.

Do I think the court system should move a little faster in regards to issues between the legislative and executive branch? Sure. Am I willing to destroy the checks and balances between the branches because I'm frustrated that the courts aren't moving to my preferred speed setting? No.

Also what would you do if the court ruled against the House? Probably threaten to pack the court like the House/Senate has done recently.

It is not obstructing Congress to assert the rights of the executive branch.

You're right. Congress didn't have to go through the judiciary. It just impeached anyway.

But guess what? The case for both articles is exceptionally weak and the Senate is balking at doing what the House refused to do which is to subpoena people.

Perhaps you lefties should have tried this strategy when you also controlled the Senate so you could make sure you could subpoena people and drag this out until the 2020 election.

    And let's face it......

This is all about 2020. The Democrats want to drag this out all the way to election day in November.

Allowing? There is no allowing and I see you don't understand that 230 years of judicial precedent are in no danger of being overturned. The courts have repeatedly said the executive branch has the right to assert executive privilege and the courts have repeatedly said that if the legislative branch can show just cause that the court would rule that executive privilege doesn't apply and the person must testify. But the House didn't follow that judicial precedent.

I also think the court would have ruled in the House's favor and people like Bolton would have had to testify but since you lefties didn't want to give the courts a say you all blew it.

    :dayton:

Don't care. Neither does anyone else other than you and a bunch of whiny lefties.

Yeah and at the rate things are going the American people are going to give the Democrat party both middle fingers. You're not going to take the Senate, you'll lose the House, and Trump will still be POTUS.
