This is just sad. Kate does not need to find an unwilling person to sexually humiliate. There are dudes who would pay good money to be humiliated by Kate Perry. I am sure some of them could dance and are attractive enough to be in her videos. Someone should tell her she is not like most of the list. She should get her agent or someone to do some auditions and I am sure there will be lines around the block.

There is just no reason for any of that bad behavior.

it is a CoS tactic to go after anyone who badmouths their stars or people. I cannot say it is just them as we have seen many people who are the keepers of the stars harass and attack their accusers to protect their money. You would get the same treatment accusing politicians, other hollywood types, or the rich. Think of how many victims have been harassed and bullied because they reported sexual abuse by priests. Scientology is mainly copying successful tactics used by other people. It does not make it right or better, but we have to remember it is not just them, and they are probably not the worst given they don't have the power that the church or politics has.

if true, he needs to eat a bullet on live TV just to discourage anyone else from doing this. :brood: I say this as a parent and grandparent - and pretty much anyone else who hates chomos.

I think every female getting involved with HH knew exactly what they were getting into - no real surprises there.

baba, are you saying this for HH to be on the pile, or are you intimating that Lena Headey and Kiera Knightly should be on the pile? :chris:

I remember watching Starship Troopers for the first time, and recalling the Mormon settlers, and other references to Mormons and Mormonism in Heinlein's novels, and I started wondering "are we looking into the Mormon future?" and then I remembered the co-ed showers and that the cradle of human civilization was now in Buenos Aires and I figured we could have done much worse. Well... okay, aside from the fascism. Shower boobies help, though.

When I first watched Starship Troopers, I was appreciative of the Mormon bit, as I was much more into the Church at the time. Now, I'm just amused by it.

The movie was a complete perversion of a very good novel.

True, the novel has a much more potent message (not to mention higher quality of writing) but the shower boobies did help.

I have not read the book, but how dare you insult such a great movie. Doogie in a nazi style officer uniform was HAWT! Not to mention micheal ironsides as a school teacher was awesome.

OK, the movie is complete cheese, but it is the cheese wiz of cheese.

Sometimes the joke so awesomely captures that which it parodies that you have to enjoy it on the level of that which it parodies. Yes, it is poking fun at the glorification of war in war movies, and how we often end up cheering fascism when we are being nationalistic to a freedom loving society in action films, but it is such an awesome example of a fun action film that you have to take it like expendables. It becomes an homage to certain tropes in war movies while also poking fun at them.

It's presentation of boot camp is better than full metal jacket just because it is that much more over the top, though I will say it would have been better with the drill instructor from FMJ. You just cannot beat micheal ironsides as the commander of the roughnecks. That is his pinnacle role as bad ass motherfucker right down to his death. Rico and his squad are just more space marine than the space marines in aliens. Even the death scene where they launch dizzy into space is better than spock's funeral in TWoK. Yes, I said it.
