Musou black is the blackest paint you can buy. It absorbs over 99% of light that hits it. So a guy decided to build a booth in his garage and paint the inside of it with the stuff. It is freakishly dark, even when he's in there with lights. The video's a little over 8 minutes long, but I don't recommend watching it all in one sitting or you'll start to get eyestrain.

I bet that would be great for doing some model spaceship photography in.

Reflected light is not a thing in this room! Very cool.

Gonna need to bring back 1970s black light posters to hang on the wall just to have some sense of where the room ends.

On a related note, these guys painted a car with the stuff and added color changing flakes to it. Looking at the results, I'd say that if someone was going to do model photography, this would be the way to do it.

Now, as a contrast, the guy redid the room with the world's brightest glow-in-the-dark paint. It is equally incredible what this stuff can do. (Especially when you charge it for a few seconds with a 100K Lumen flashlight.)
