Me neither. Usually we do that from airplanes.
When you have time, look up the history of Cambodia. The kind of "burn it to the ground and start over" philosophy you seem to be touting tends to have the opposite effect.
Can we all agree we don't want children bombed, period? Or is that asking too much of WF?
Talk about dropping bombs, @garamet just dropped a truth bomb on @Amaris.
Well, most of the "Nuke the Middle East to glass" assholes are either dead or permabanned, but to me the real danger is the people who don't consciously want to kill children but don't consider the consequences of their ideological "purity."
When Obama did it, he was a good man who had to make unfortunate decisions.
When Trump did it he was evil.
When Joe Biden does it it's going to be just a tragic side effect of good foreign policy from a decent man.
Of course, the trick is to have them labeled as combatants after the bombing. Obama was good at that shit. I'm sure there are people here who would vote for him again if they could.
I know the history of Cambodia. Then again, I have no connection whatsoever to the happenings of Cambodia. On the other hand, who voted for Joe Biden knowing his history?
It's sad. So damn smug, and you helped elect the man that raped Tara Reade, and I don't give two shits whether you believe he did it or not, she was not afforded the same benefit Christine Ford was, and it's because you wanted Trump out, and you'd have voted in Harvey Weinstein if you knew it would get rid of him. You sold your soul, as did so many others, and now you're going to try and make chocolate pie from shit.
Don't come at me, I'm not the one who elected a rapist racist, and you can get pissy at me all day, all of you, and it will not change what you signed your names to so you could be comfortably ignorant again.
You voted for Joe Biden, and everything he represents. You know this. You're aware, and you choose to shut your eyes. So every child that dies in the desert because they weren't worthy enough to have a name in the U.S., you signed off on it.
Fuck your insufferable willingness to bend the knee so that you could go back to normal.
I was a "turn the ME into glass" guy for a while because of frustration and a sense that I felt like it was the only way they'd get the message because look how Japan turned out after we nuked them, but obviously that's wrong and not going to work because Japan's ideology was political and not religious. You can't nuke away religion.
You? Because Joe Biden will be bombing a bunch of brown kids, and all of you will smile and clap at how nice he is with Jill.
Not everyone can live in the Capitol of Panem, I guess. Sorry kids.
How long did it take for @Tererun to devour your soul? Why don't you tell the class what your sources are? If you say "Stephen Miller," this conversation is over.
I dunno, I think @Paladin would be overjoyed by child bombing to save 20 cents a gallon on gas.
In all seriousness, I think the vast majority of us agree that Bombs Bad. The issue is how quickly we can overhual a system that's taken decades to put in place. Like Spot mentioned, Trump did the whole jump the system method and that didn't work out too well even for his supporters.
There's a whole lotta solutions between "Sit on our asses and do nothing" and "Dismantle the whole system tomorrow." The latter is a pipe dream and I don't consider a slower-than-desired rollout to be the former, his record with Obama notwithstanding.
What are my sources on the US history of bombing Syria, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Yemen,
I managed to recover my soul before I became a clapping monkey for a country that stopped giving a damn about children a generation ago. I didn't choose to get comfortable and ignore it because there could always be worse. I didn't make deals with my own ethics to let a little security go for a little perceived safety. I came back here to Wordforge because I missed the people here, and wanted to reconnect, but none of you have changed one iota. You're still just as proud as ever of not bothering to care about what your favorite politicians do, and even children being droned to death isn't enough to shake you. Kids being confined to camps and jails doesn't merit much more than a "what can we do about it?" and I just wonder if everyone has sold off their soul for a little more dopamine, a little more ignorance, because by god the truth is uncomfortable, and it hurts like fuck, and I get that, but all that seems to happen here are bad faith takes and circular arguments ad nauseam, no matter how old or how dead.
This place is so sad. I'd pity it except it would be a waste of human pity, because few would care anyway. Most of you are too comfortable to give a damn, and even if you did, what would you do about it? Not a damn thing.
The thing is, @Tererun is bombastic, loud, and aggressive, but at least she shows something besides boredom and apathy.
Why are you talking to that chihuahua?
Biden did all that? Amazing.
How's your research on Cambodia coming along?
You're edging too?
Serious question: you've known most of us for the better part of two decades, going on three now. Most of the same people have been the targets of some of the most vile people to post here. Most of us were particularly open to dragging Bush for his war for oil and calling out the anti-Islamist for their galling lack of respect.
I am not asking this as a gotcha, but in all sincerely: do you think people like G and 14Doc to be at the level of people like Storm and Sokar?
Because if I ever had anyone tell me I'd been uglier towards them than someone who turned an unfounded pedophilia accusation into a meme, of which you yourself have been victim to by the SAME person--i would be having a true moment of extentesial crisis about if my message is getting lost and if this is the way I'd want to go about it.
I'm saying this as a friend and as someone who have seen way too many breakdowns from those who have carried the world on their backs with rigidity: you are going to crash and exhaust yourself. That's not a threat, that is an observation from everyone I've seen who do this and from my own experience as a rigid virgin with arbitrary rules I set up to think I was going to avoid being hurt again.
I don't want that for you. I don't think anyone else wants that, either.
I'm sure there are plenty of 87-year-olds who can do the job just fine, but judging by his Twitter feed, I'm not sure Chuck's gearbox is fully engaged.
Take it from somebody who lives in a state with term limits: Term limits ain't gonna change that. All they do is give you a steady stream of inexperienced legislators who are ready to let groups like ALEC write the laws for them, while simultaneously spending all of their time jockeying for their next job (another task that usually involves currying favor with lobbyists).
well I'm sorry you are so disappointed. Hopefully you find that perfect utopian planet (populated by Tererun clones) that you are searching for and rightfully deserve.
Yeah, it's the party of Trump. And what that really means.
One hopes that this is photoshopped...
It means you and a few other word forge members need tinfoil hats so the lizard Nazis won't read your paranoid and feeble thoughts? Am I in the ballpark?
I'd say this means you're going
We're not the ones whose party elected the woman who thinks forest fires are caused by Jewish space lasers.
hmmm.....not to nitpick but aren't you drifting into "but the other side" ism? Judges, can we get a ruling here? Thanks in advance.
A rational person would say" "I don't believe in Jewish laser." You, not so much.
God damn you really are a special kinda stupid. Fuck! For like the fifth fucking time:
Person A: This thing is bad.
Person B: BUT WHAT ABOUT THIS THING HUH?!?!
It is NOT:
Person A: You people think we believe these crazy things.
Person B: Y’all literally elected someone who believes these crazy things.
A buddy of mine confirmed that it is. Not sure why they would bother with the effort, the fact that a golden statue was brought to CPAC is bizarre enough.
God damn you really are fucking stupid. I guess nuance isn't your forte genius. Your example of what it is NOT is wrong. Here is the situation:
Person A: You lefties think crazy things *
Person B: MTG the righty thinks crazy things too!
So what category of "gotcha" or whatever would this fall under, if any? "The other side" ism? None of the above? School me genius.
* crazy things being CPAC stage designers use a geometric shape (probably for practical reasons) but it's really a secret signal for white supremacists
Separate names with a comma.
