Yep, Trump learned his lesson from impeachment alright. Just ask New York.

Trump is pulling the Ukraine shakedown on New York.

Noah Bookbinder noted that Trump is conditioning federal aid to a state on the dropping of lawsuits:

Conditioning availability of federal programs to residents of one of the 50 states apparently on the dropping of lawsuits that affect him personally is just one more abuse of the presidency for personal gain. https://twitter.com/kyledcheney/status/1228024712367874048 …

Trump suggests his treatment of New York is related to their lawsuits aimed at his businesses/personal conduct.

I’m seeing Governor Cuomo today at The White House. He must understand that National Security far exceeds politics. New York must stop all of its unnecessary lawsuits & harrassment, start cleaning itself up, and lowering taxes. Build relationships, but don’t bring Fredo!

That’s the President threatening a state and demanding that they drop lawsuits against him and his businesses. Trump wasn’t concerned about anything involving the national interest. He’s is trying to use his position to get out of legal trouble in New York.

Just for the fun of it can we give trump a gun, bring him to fifth ave, and have adam sandler show up? Maybe Will Farrel? Kanye West? Hillary Clinton?

We have to be able to use this for some good.

There is nothing wrong with it. That has now been established. As long as the president honestly believes that being elected is good for the country, nothing he does to be re-elected can be criminal. Don't you follow the news?

He’s going even further than that. In this case he is withholding Federal funding (anti-terrorism funding!) until NY drops lawsuits against Trump Org and Trump personally.

And his fellators will slurp it up.

I'll give him this, he's a thorough motherfucker daughterfucker.

Our one ray of hope was once he became a private citizen, his disgusting organization could be torn to shreds.
He's covering his ass ahead of time.

I believe in another thread regarding the NSC @Zombie basically made the argument that the US president having the power to do something means whatever they do with that power is fine.

If the President has the legal authority to do X you can't complain that he's breaking the law when he does X.

I don't see it as something that should be hard to understand.

Also I've turned off @name stuff. I don't see it. I clicked on the thread and read it.

Unless they're Democrat, and black, and are making invisible Jade Helm tunnels to the FEMA death camps underneath Comet Ping-Pong.
Then it's time for an armed revolution.

    That’s... not how laws work.

Just because I can kill someone in self defense doesn’t mean I can kill them because I want to take their money.

Also, you probably shouldn’t tell people that you turned off that notification. Now if they want your attention they’ll just quote your post in another thread and copy paste in the one they want your attention in.

    What?

That is the stupidest thing I've seen from you in a while.

If you kill them to take their money it's not self defense even if you claim it is. Even if you set it up too look like self defense. It's straight up murder.

I look at all the notifications and generally I just ignore people like Diacanu, Tererun, WAB. If I do respond to them it's because I'm active in the thread anyway so as I'm reading each post I'm opening up new tabs to reply. So it's no biggie.

Yes it is dumb because your position it is highlighting is dumb. Being legally allowed to do something in one situation doesn’t mean it is legally allowed in another. The circumstances matter.

I am allowed to do what I want with photos I have taken in public places, and I'm allowed to sell the rights to said photos to whoever I want, so blackmail is allowed right?

That said I am so...fucking...glad nobody had cell phones with cameras back in the day. :whew: I really feel sorry for you youngsters trying to get some action on....just sayin!

    Another idiot.

Laws concerning copyright and use of photos taken in public places are separate from blackmail laws. So no blackmail is not allowed.

    Try again.....

Oh, you mean that the context in which you engage in legal and totally socially acceptable actions can actually transform them into something undesirable worthy of condemnation?
