Why can't these checks notes committed Republican conservatives see that what Trump is actually doing is strengthening the system?!

I think you're right, but what's really sad (and telling) about this is that Republican politicians rarely need to tack to the center to promote 'healing' or to combat polarization. It seems that lately, Democrats MUST do this while Republicans can do whatever they damn well please. The last four years have shown a far right conservative can win the Presidency and very nearly hold on to it for a second term. A far right conservative like Trump could conceivably pull a Grover Cleveland in 2024. Name one far left Democrat who could do the same. I can't.

What's really sad and telling is that the Trumpanistas can't distinguish between "far-right conservative" and "opportunistic, narcissistic, slumlord, failed businessman sociopath."

Or maybe it's because they're one and the same.

They've even started turning on Faux News!

If Trump kills that network, that would be the single best thing he ever achieves in office.

Dems/the American liberals are just one layer of many in the "boogeyman" onion. It's a long game, and I probably won't live long enough see it play out fully.

Even better if Trump's departure kills CNN from running out of material. They sure won't cover anything painting Biden in a negative light.

You've had your brain completely sucked out by the infotainment industry. Do yourself a favor and research what actual news used to be about. Start with Edward R. Murrow and work your way forward.

Of course, knowing you, you'd probably think Joe McCarthy was some kind of hero who "told it like it was." JTDC...

:weep: Calm down and keep your chin up kiddo! If they play their cards right the Democrats will have four years to shred the constitution and change the system as we know it, thus cementing themselves into a permanent position of power until the U.S. gets annexed to a China centered world government. And you can proudly say that you helped play a part in that! Give yourself a well deserved pat on the back.

Another facepalm Lanz? Yes, I get it, military spending is in your constitution but I don't see how it doesn't fit your description of "radical left" perfectly?

When people talk about low information voters, they're literally talking about you.

Now excuse me, I have to go cash my weekly check from Soros and the Illuminati.

Refute what? Whether or not I watch Hannity? If I am a "low information" voter? These are his assumptions and opinions! How could I refute them and why would I want to?
I have assumptions & opinions too. His are no better than mine AFAIK. You may disagree but...wait for it...that is your opinion! Notice a trend here?

I noticed your answer in the 2021 thread which, if the sources you cite are really the sources you follow, seem contradictory to the positions you hold here.

    Say more.

How will the country be strengthened by Trump claiming that there was widespread fraud but there in fact not being any?

Because I have no monopoly on the future, but it doesn't seem likely that a lot of the people who are convinced that there is widespread fraud at the moment are ever going to be convinced by things like actual evidence or common sense (the Democrats would have to be the worst. riggers. ever. to fix the vote for Biden in GA but allow both Senate races to go to a run-off, for example.)

Even if there is some massive realization that Trump con them, that is going to leave lasting wounds.

And Trump has provided a playbook for someone who is less over-the-top transparently incompetent to make these kinds of baseless claims and naked power grabs.

It seems I misunderstood then, I read it as a description that would have covered things like UHC, free tertiary education and a strong social safety net as being radically left.

Remember when oldfella thought a gameshow host and wrestling villain would be a good president?
Remember when he got all excited and bragged about it?

Yeah that's what I assumed the "claim on the fruits my time and labor" was referring to, but apparently there's something beyond that they are demanding from Lanz.

Obviously Trump wasn't your cup of tea, am I right? Regardless I don't regret voting for him in 2016 or 2020. Believe it or not many millions of others voted for him too, so I guess I'm not a Lone Ranger in that regard. I may be in the minority here on wordforge, but wordforge is not the be all/end all of political discourse which I'm sure you're aware of.

No one has asked you to predict the future.

You’ve just been asked (four times now) to tell us what it would take for you to decide that your Republican President and the majority of your Republican Party lying to convince folks of imaginary fraud is a bad thing.

Your refusal tells me what I knew already. There is no line for you.
