Yes I know what he was saying but it was not what Trump said. Let me give you a visual aid - some people learn better that way.
Here we have marching:
Here we have storming:
What a fucking idiot.
And a treasonous, pro-traitor idiot as well.
Right. So, after 4.5 years of violent rhetoric, did you really expect people to "march" to the capitol? and if so, how did the people in the second photo so completely misunderstand such a simple direction?
Or, possibly, how can someone still trust the judgement of a man who allegedly failed to realise that calling for one would lead to the other.
Notably his failed promise to "march with them" should lead reasonable people to question his solidarity with the disgruntled masses.
Broken promises right to the very end.
eat shit and die you fucking pinhead!
I'll take "How fast can a rat swim?" for $800, Katie.
This statement from Forbes today is great (much more at the link): A Truth Reckoning: Why We’re Holding Those Who Lied For Trump Accountable (forbes.com)
I saw this yesterday. I don't know anything about the guy, but he deserves an "attaboy" for the way he handled himself in the face of a hostile crowd.
Guess who’s back on Twitter.
Classless to the end.
I didn't realize he was invited
I was wondering earlier if any former presidents will attend his funeral when he inevitably passes on.
I doubt the others even welcome him into the club.
Traditionally, the outgoing president always attends the inauguration, as a demonstration of the transfer of power: the administration changes, but the institution is still there. It takes someone as self-centered and childish as Trump to go against that.
He should never have been president in the first place. He doesn't possess any qualities that make a leader, let alone POTUS. He is selfish and childish. He completely lacks class and decorum. He was never concerned with the welfare of the people.
He shouldn't be allowed to attend the inauguration even if he wanted to be there.
The sooner this clown is out of office, the better. Then we can spit on him and shut him up in some heavily guarded asylum. Give him a toy phone and let him pretend to be posting on twitter.
The New Abnormal podcast has an interview with Michael Cohen. In it, he says (no surprise, of course) that Trump has completely lost it and will do whatever he can to destroy everything before he leaves.
And this is comforting.
Comforting? I don't know what's worse - that it's a possibility, or that the Speaker of the House had to go behind his back and take such actions, or that we are "comforted" by the knowledge that she did.
When Harry Cohn, the widely hated leader of Columbia Pictures croaked, thousands of people showed up for his funeral. I think it was Red Skelton who said "Give the people what they want and they'll turn out every time."
Al Jolson was another legendary Hollywood asshole. Someone said that a massive crowd showed up at his funeral "just to make sure."
Sarcasm. Started in NYC in the 1950s. I know it didn’t spread much beyond it but I thought you might have heard of it.
I understand that. Still. My point stands. The fact that Pelosi had to take such actions is horrifying to me.
Didn't Twitter block him?
They let him back so he could issue the humiliating climbdown.
12 hours if he removed inflammatory posts. Apparently he obeyed the mods. Who'da thought?
Rub salt in the wound or let it fester.
