I just thought about this - way back in the day wasn't the Super Bowl played during the daytime?
Now it starts at what....8:00 PM EST or something? And with a what....hour long halftime show? Damn people won't go to bed until 1:00 AM or so. What's up with that?

Kickoff was 6:30PM EST. Typical in the modern era.

And the halftime show was only 30 minutes.

oh I see! I was looking at the COMCAST online TV guide around 8:00 or so to find something for my wife, and the game wasn't listed on any TV channels so I assumed it hadn't started yet. Obviously it was on, but wasn't listed. So I guess it wouldn't be that late a night for people going to work on Monday - though I bet there will be a hangover or three in the national workplace! Most unit commanders will have a late reporting time for their soldiers, but us contractors and GS employees will have to report at the usual time.

I agree! But doesn't that interfere with college football viewing, or is that over for the year? I know basketball must be still going on because it seems to be on TV whenever I want to watch boxing when I get ready for work in the morning. :brood:

Guess what I didn't watch last night... the Superbowl! I honestly have zero interest in it.

I didn't watch it either. But I heard good things about the LATINA OVERLOAD with Demi Lovato, Shakira and J-Lo!

I can't believe there isn't more outrage at Wordforge about the latina asses shaking at the superbowl halftime show. [/sarcasm] (For those that don't know me)

I heard so much commotion about the half time show I had to check it out for myself. It was great. I am sad that people have to shame these women. Isn't it the NFL that hires them to do a show? Did they expect Nuns praying and singing praise hymns? It was not pornographic at all. People need to chill out!

And for those that missed it and are too lazy to look it up, here you go.

No I won't watch the halftime show because Shakira did some "weird thing with her tongue" and I might not be responsible for my actions at that point.

thanks! So the times started creeping up later & later then in the early 90's it was 6:30 or so and has never varied more than a few minutes. But I did remember correctly - when I was a kid it did actually start quite a bit earlier.
