Get your ass up there, do it without any actual conditioning. If you live I’ll buy you a Coke.
Agreed. When they get off Twitter and their fat asses and do something. Until then...meh.
I can’t wait to see how Paladin’s going to save us. I mean, why bother with conservation? I always thought Mad Max was a dystopian film. Fuck me sideways if it’s not the blue print for an upbeat market based solution!
I'm not going to save you.
Says the guy whose philosophy killed 100 million people and enslaved hundreds of million more within living memory.
And try living most places without shelter (which you probably can't build), water (which you probably can't supply), food (which you probably can't grow), clothes (which you probably can't sew), medicine (which you probably can't provide), and energy (which you probably can't generate).
Very few of us could survive totally naked, poor, and alone anywhere. Your life would just come to an end more quickly in Antarctica.
Tell ya what: You do it and then come back and tell us how you did it.
No need. That people do it is proof enough.
I think it is more that most humans are herd animals. When we have a lot more people wandering aimlessly to follow, people follow more dangerous wanderers off of cliffs more often.
Lulz. I'm not the one saying fuck it we'll adapt even though hundreds of millions will die. You can "BUT YER A COMMIE!" all you want, but out of the two of us, only one wants to take steps to preserve life, and protect humanity, before things get to the point where a feedback loop occurs and kills us all. Hot tip: It sure as shit isn't you.
I don't see anyone here saying "we'll adapt even though hundreds of millions will die. I am pretty sure the claim stops right at "we'll adapt" and then a period.
This "hundreds of millions will die" stuff is from you guys and we don't exactly buy it.
This becomes the major right wing problem. They associate their success with others. @Paladin sees some people doing it and thinks he can do it. The reality that most environmentalists realize is that even though the human race will still have some people wandering about most of us are going to die. Even the ones who are capable of surviving will die in large numbers due to consequence and not ability. The reality is that they do not use wisdom or intelligence to try to survive and worship idiots like trump who crash most systems. Most are lazy and entitled and when things become thin those are the people who start killing each other rather than working. The reality is that only the quickest and best of those lazy and entitled will survive.
I personally have little problem with the human race being culled by their own nature and greed. It seems the only way society learns is through tragedy and pain. Rome and it's decadence has to burn every so often to cull the people like @Paladin and @Dayton3 from the world. Maybe one of these times we will realize that though we allow the retards in society to live (no I am not talking about down syndrome people) we should not allow them to be in charge of anything.
That's right, attack the source and not the content.
Actually, that is the end result of the collapse of agricultural and inhabitable land. There is famine and natural disaster coming which will be on a global scale which will kill millions of people. Those are not just words with no meaning.
The source is never right and knowingly lies to people to promote it's agenda. Yes, I am attacking the source as it is wrong. Sort of like you in almost all of your ideas.
Stay ignorant then.
If by "you guys" you mean the scientific community, then you should probably listen. I'll help in case you are uninformed:
Don't be like Dayton. Read these, understand them, gain new perspective on what is happening.
If by ignorant you mean regarding the truth as valuable instead of lies that support my delusions, then yes I am glad to not suffer from your dysfunction.
You are just like the anti vaxxers when you listen to cultish bullshit like you do.
I don’t listen to cultist bullshit.
Yes, you quoted it so you must have listened to it you liar.
It’s not cultist bullshit.
I don't have to swim the English Channel to say that people have swum the English Channel.
Well, you are.
I hope that thought keeps you awake at night. The planet's coming for you!
I prefer to address problems by not bankrupting ourselves in futile gestures.
Speaking of which, remember the time when people could walk from France to Britain? The climate changed, the oceans rose,...and people flourished.
Don't cry, but it is cultish bullshit. Even the people at faux news have started to admit it has less truth than star trek.
There's isn't a single thing in any of those links that threatens "hundreds of millions" of deaths due to global warming / climate change.
I’m adding you to the Dayton diploma list.
You got your response, and if you read them and understood them, you would have needed to realize you were in error. Since your dogma exceeds your good sense, there’s nothing I can do for you.
Yeah, that's the tweet I am referring to. Reading that as saying that the 12 years are sarcastic is another example of purposeful sea-spongey literalism. Saying we have 12 years doesn't mean that anyone can prove it isn't closer to 11 years and 50 weeks or 12 years and two months; nor does it mean that at that mark, there will no longer be a planet for the Moon to orbit. Reading it as that is as false as reading a joke as an exact number. In this instance, she was discussing the super rich and who would actually be paying her preferred top tax rate. She said, "It's, like, ten people", and GOP folks came back to her showing that it is more like 60 people as well as their families.
Are you going to tell me that honestly, seriously, you understood "we have 12 years to save the planet" to mean that it couldn't possibly be 59 or 61 months, or that if we failed, the astronomical body called Earth would disappear without a trace? Or that pointing out the order of magnitude of a group among 300 million as small by saying roughly 10 of 300 000 000 is false if it is in fact 60 in 300 000 000? Is that really an attempt at honest debate?
Likewise, are you going to claim that you honestly read that tweet and thought, oh, the 12 years are sarcastic, so there is no actual imminent threat from climate change according to AOC? Honestly?
You've jumped the shark big time.
Might as well enjoy it while they still exist. Get back with me when that whole Jesus thing happens.
