What Would You Put in a Time Capsule?
Your mom. Duh.
Not much point after I get done with her - just a smoldering (but satisfied) cinder.
To each their own?
In all seriousness though, I'd probably put a copy of the constitution, a current history book, a Boy Scout handbook, a field army survival book, Shakespeare, and some sort of mini survival kit including a first aide kit, a joke book and a deck of cards.
A glitter bomb.
Why bother with a copy of the U.S. Constitution? IIRC the original of it drops into a bomb proof underground vault in Washington D.C. every day. More protection than any time capsule could provide.
Society may collapse and people may not know how to access that or they may not even know about that.
Star Trek: TOS, all three seasons (even "Spock's Brain") and the Triptych: TWoK, TSfS, and TVH.
Oh, and maybe nuBSG, and Doctor Who: S8-10.
I think if society collapse people are more likely to forget some random time capsule than the contents of the national archives.
Most time capsules even in this day and age are forgotten anyway.
Eh, I still think it would be worth it. Who knows what society will be like in the future.
Wouldn't work Faceman. You cannot appreciate someone's brilliance simply by examining their brain tissue. The Soviets proved that with all their preserved slices of Lenin's brain. Not that Lenin was brilliant. Just quite a few Soviets thought so.
It is good to see that you are working hard to contribute here though.
I am the walrus.
you are indeed a walrus if you "self identify" as a walrus! That said you are not getting your own public restroom.
Im not sure but I know Trump would like to put the mueller report in there.
Other publications I think would be useful:
1)A World Almanac. One of the best sources of a broad range of information from around the world.
2) Guinness Book of World Records. Useful such as the almanac but also with lots of information about modern culture and society in it.
3) Selected issues of the TV Guide. Not the run of the mill ones but the Fall Season Previews for New Shows and Returning Favorites. A surprisingly insightful look at what produces in the industry thought would appeal to the viewers of that era. Returning Favorites issue to show which had succeeded and were continuing to succeed.
Your left foot.
Very cute @El Chup, but that's @Tererun's chic.
Just think of all the conversations el Chup and your left foot are having right now.
Not likely. I don't recall El Chup ever making fun of someone's physical problems. That is more of your, Tererun, ed629s and a handful others thing.
