When will 9/11 start to be like the kenedy assasination in movies and shows?

So I was watching the second season of Umbrella Academy and I realized there has been a lot of time travel and looks into the past in recent history that have sort of adopted the events around the kenedy assassination and vietnam/nuclear war theme of the time. You can go back to earlier media to see WW2 and things like the Korean War that influence the producers and creators of the time.

Eventually 9/11 is going to become a focal point for these things. We have already seen a shift from vietnam style military to middle east style military for action and war movies. The saturation of the memes and conspiracy theories has not yet become such a social phenomenon. It may not be the same simply because we have such an expanded social media. maybe it is subtle to us and we are in it right now. Years from now they might be seeing these things come to the surface. I think it might be a little early for it, but maybe I am wrong.

    Anyway, that is my opening.

Godzilla, Marvel, and DC have devastated cities on a scale that makes 9/11 look like Sesame Street.
An action movie centered on 9/11 would actually seem tame now.

    But a time travel movie?
    I dunno.

Fun note, I actually could have stopped 9/11.
Or, a chunk of it, anyway.
Some of the hijackers took off from the Portland airport, and they stopped to eat at a Pizza Hut that isn't there anymore.
That place is 20 minutes from my place.
15 minutes if I floor it, and run lights, and risk lives.

I wouldn't necessarily have to kill them either, just fuck up their car, and detain them long enough to miss the flight.
Ruining people's plans is easy for a guy with my talents.

9/11 as a "stand alone" event doesn't have enough layers - it was a "one & done" event. Granted the shitstorm that resulted could likely spawn quite a bit of compelling storytelling (from a wide variety of viewpoints) but as far as I know 9/11 as a single event (like the JFK killing) has been milked about as far as it can be. Vietnam in it's entirety (or even the war on terror to a lesser extent) had a lot of battles and things to delve into.

Hollywood needs to make a film that ties together 9/11, the JFK assassination, the Roswell UFO crash, Obama's birth certificate and the COVID-19 pandemic.

    Talk about a blockbuster!
