Really, the place isn't at all bad. Just a bunch of internet posters who find a variety of ways to pass the time.
Okay, Speck. You are a good example. I remember you were a regular poster; and I think you got bullied off. I am curious about how you ended up there in the first place-- and you made several friends there, too; admit it!
TK breads hate for it own entertainment. The more they can get you to react, the better they like it.
That isn't quite true. You got dogpiled because you continued to act in a manner which caused others to dislike you. Long-time TKers don't get a treatment like that for no reason. I've always felt that in your case, it was a vicious cycle.
Darth asked me where I came from originally. Oddly enough, The Question (Legion, the saint) introduced me to TK directly. I didn't migrate from anywhere. He felt that my sense of humor would fit it well.
Not especially. Well, it's fun at times when you dislike the person or feel they deserve it (In Zodiac's case that is, remember, he apologized to you once?). I think it was the MF nonsense. Then it went to the rest of the board. You got annoyed/pissed/whatever, and it built itself up from there. I see nothing really productive in being hateful towards one another and driving each other off.
I did have a bit of a knee jerk reaction when I initially saw that place. Three weeks into registering here, I come across a TK post with the words "Gagh's a nigger lover" posted eight thousand time as well as a few other spam threads and bolted. Once I registered there, I discovered it wasn't nearly as horrible as I'd heard it was, but it's just way too spammy for me. That, and I just get along with everyone here a lot better than at TK. TK really isn't for most people. Spam is one thing, but there aren't many posters that are up to the idea of a forum with as much freedom as TK. Hell, WF has scared off one person I brought over here. But I don't see much point in the vitriol and posting about how much it sucks.
Dont hate the place, just dont post there due to all the spam, the horrid avatars and sigs and the general level of childishness
Yeah, there are a lot of people who hate TK sadly sometimes TK is just too much, but it ain't a bad place.
TK had little to do with the founding of WF. TBBS gave birth to WF. TBBS also birthed TK. Who's yo momma?
I'm registered at TK, but found nothing of interest there so I don't post there. Once, when I took part in some book discussion threads, Number_6 got my remembership reactivated, so I could post. Other than, that nadda. The time left in my life is too short to waste my time in a place that doesn't interest me. Nothing against them.
I wouldn't say I hate the place, I may even still have an account there, but it's too much based, no substance.
