Weird how when it's cops it's just a few bad apples, but when its protesters the worst of them tarnish them all.

For those individuals I'd suggest part of what makes them think peaceful protest is a waste of time is the years they've been told things like this:

I think it's a fair compromise. If you don't believe in showing respect to the flag/anthem you can opt out, but you aren't disrupting the ceremony for those who do want to participate.

Whatever your opinion, there was a status quo: the players played football and the fans watched it. The insertion of politics has disrupted that status quo.

This kneeling during the anthem wasn't even a thing three years ago, and now we're all yelling at each other and calling each other vile names over it. It's done nothing for the purpose it was intended, it's just generated a lot of division.

As for the trekBBS thing I might have strafed it in the past going after people in a more global sense, but I cannot say to have participated there. Contrary to the opinion of trekBBS it is not as important as it thinks in other fandoms. No, I come from Usenet, and was playing around with troll orgs there. Long before the chans even existed, and even before AOL was ported over to the TCPIP internet I was playing on what was the internet. I can even say I go back to old BBS dial ups. so if you do not know what alt.2600 or ab4d stands for you might want to just sit down. I was part of the people who made the troll rules. I was trolling before the www and http were a thing. Trekbbs and troll kingdom are quaint, but I am a lot more ancient than them, the chans, ED, and social media.

Yes, for me it is a laugh that some Trek message board satellites thing they are trolls. It is amusing, because of my history online. Then again, I find the chans quaint and silly. But to watch you guys get amazed over faceman and reminisce about how bad ass TK was has been quite the entertainment over the past few years. I have bots and scripts older and more powerful than you. I have bots and scripts that have been dead for longer than you have been your bad ass selves.
