There isn't a gap in the "known facts." There's a gap in my awareness of the known facts. Not being a research scientist with a specialty in endocrinology and/or transplant, I'm not up on the latest journal articles on this very small-scale medical procedure.

However, I do have an approximate idea where to look, and will do so when I have the opportunity.

My original question related to a post you made in this thread. That firmly establishes it as relevant, regardless of whether you wanted to see the conversation go that way. If you were speaking strictly of government interferance, you should not have framed it in terms of how the company should set it's prices or spread it's R&D costs.
