I feel it was wrong to let the Help Desk to be overrun, in what looked like a suspicious effort to contain drama and keep it out of the RR (:soma:). People are going to start threads about the Storm mini-drama anyway. And why shouldn't they receive a public answer to what's going to happen, when the thing unfolded publicly? But I digress.

What are your feelings on this matter?

I feel this is a dumb shit post, or DSP. If you feel the thread is shit, it would be far more productive of you to simply ignore it and move on.

I feel that by referring to it as Dramagate, you place yourself at risk of death by the hands of Kyle.

My feeling is that Chatacranny is DW, or knows who DW is, and orchestrated the whole mess, or at least was in on it. Well trolled. :bergman:

I feel that referring to every flap of this sort as nothing more than "drama" trivializes what could be a serious breach of trust and privacy by the WF staff.

Given the official explanation that people are just bored and looking to troll the staff for the sake of "drama." :borg:

I'm so glad I stay away from this shit. I'm very happy to not know WTF is going on.

Oh, and I think anyone who ever makes a composite word using the "gate" suffix ever again should be bludgeoned to death with Hemmingway's typewriter.

One could go a step further and say that Chatacranny owned much of Wordforge, the Help Desk, the people who sent Elwood 30 PMs, the people who called for DW's head, and Storm.

Another step further and we can feed into the accusations of some and say that Zodiac owned Wordforge (Which is impossible, as Chatacranny is not Zodiac but merely his brother).

All of this is contingent on Chatacranny being DW and Zodiac, which he is not, and is kicking himself for not thinking up the scheme when he had the chance.

I'm sure you'd be willing to let us read your PM's if you're so innocent.

Nice try, Nick, but unlike some others here, I value my privacy. You wouldn't find any PMs related to the matter, and I wouldn't feel comfortable with you seeing what others sent that I might have quoted in them.

Matter of fact, how can you look through PM boxes without seeing the communiques of others? Is their permission asked for as well?

    No, not really.

Until Storm decided to play cowboy cop, your troll wasn't anything more than white noise in the already existing drama. There was no success to the troll without Storm deciding that he had to take the law into his own hands and ferret out traitors.

Now, if Storm was in on the troll and just playing the part of vigilante, then your characterization is true, but otherwise I'm afraid that all your success comes from Storm being a gullible enough blowhard to go off the deep end and try to pin a badge to his chest. And even I don't think Storm was your co-troll rather than your patsy.

Yes, that is the most troubling aspect of this, and something I didn't consider until after I had offered my PM box to the admins. I don't think there is anything in there, but certainly the dozens who have sent me PMs did not offer their permission. That's something ElNickMar need to consider in the future.

And I can't believe the rest of you didn't see it. :borg:

I admit to nothing, and I think Nick has been looking for an excuse to put me under the microscope of newfound police powers. He's been accusing me of being Zodiac for days now.

I have no specific qualms about letting the drama be extended into me taking the blame for something I didn't do, and seeing Nick bow his head in shame when/if the truth comes out, but that'd all be taking credit away from whomever did organize this, which I would object to. Honor among TKers and all.

I thought so at first too, but I don't think you could find even one TKer who would know any details about any personal feuds here, like the Jenna/Ted drama.

Did you give them your password?
Because I seem to remember a flap about people accusing staff of reading PM's and the staff saying it was impossible to do so without resetting the users password.

They intend to go into the database and read them from there, something anyone with server access can do at any time.
