I kind of do feel sorry for her. If she wants to drink and do drugs, as long as she doesn't drive or endanger others, let her. It's her life. She should be free to blow it. Kalifoornia surely has worse criminals than Lohan.

Take the mayor and city council of Bell for example.

Not to mention Kirk's shrink, who's for years been billing Kirk for services that clearly don't do him any good at all.

    Not one damned bit.

And I have little but contempt for the California criminal justice system which seems to be enabling her behavior but not holding her to account.

The woman was on probation and ordered to take regular drug tests...and still failed. That is the sign of someone who's life is completely out of control. I expect she'll be dead soon.

I just feel sad at the lost potential. She could have had a career along the lines of Anne-Margaret's, but she doesn't care.

I really do feel sorry for her. It appears she is being stalked by the government who is watching her every move. Leave her alone. If she drinks and drives, then she needs to pay the penalty like everyone else. The problem seems to be that the courts want her to be a tee-totaler and that is bullshit. I don't care what she drinks or snorts as long as she doesn't get behind the wheel. Of course that seems to be the deal with all courts as they 100% miss the point. The problem is not the person drinking, its them drinking and then driving.

With batshit crazy parents, hell yes.

That said, she's an adult and is responsible for herself. Ditch the fucked up crowd or do the time.

Pretty much, this. She, like Britney Spears before her, is a product of her upbringing--or lack thereof--but eventually, you have to grow up and take responsibility for your own self.

Which if true, is meaningless, since when they finally have her in their evil clutches, they give her slaps on the wrist anyway.

I can't grasp the psychology behind it.

    What's so special about her?
She ain't no Meryl Streep or nothing.

Course, I'm against anyone getting treated easy by the criminal justice system because of their wealth and celebrity.
What applies to Tyrone with a nickel bag should apply to everyone.

But even by the "logic", of the travesties of justice we've seen before, the Lohan shit doesn't make sense.

And I don't even get why white collar criminals are coddled.
Bernie Madeoff was escorted by the cops like he was a head of state, like the vibe poured off them like "oh, I'm so sorry I have to do this, sir".
    Why?
You think if you lick the darkest part of his pasty ass, he'll toss you some of his fucking money?
Yeah, that's how he got rich, paying for the college of some nobody fucking cop.
"Oh, you were so kind to me, here's all your debts gone".
    :dayton:

    People are fuckin' stupid.

Okay, you know who'd I'd let off?
    Robert Englund.
But only for jaywalking, or letting a meter run out, or something.
    Or, a minor fender bender.
Okay, he can kill a teenager, but it had to be an accident, and the teenager has to be obnoxious.
    And just one.
    But that's it.
    And just Robert Englund.
Everyone else can go eat shit.

I wouldn't say she doesn't care it's just the drugs get in the way. In fact I'd bet everyday she thinks about her career.

Trust me the drug addicts know about the lost potential.

She needs to be thrown in prison for at least a year. It's the only way she's going to have a shot at breaking this cycle. She needs to get away from the parties, the paparazzi, and false rehab centers. Otherwise we are going to wake up one day and find out she's dead from a overdose or car crash.

Then her mom needs to be ordered to never have any contact with her ever again. Her father might not be the best but it appears he's at least acknowledged that he's not prime material and that Lindsay has an actual problem. (Unlike mom who denied Lindsay had a substance abuse problem)

They need to appoint a guardian who will take over her finances until she can go on her own.

Her friends need to be tossed because they are enabling her.

Agreed. This is one of your best posts ever. ;)

He was escorted that way because a lot of people wanted to kill him. He's so high profile that to do anything less would result in charges of negligence towards the police if he got hurt. It's all about the liability.

Once he got to prison the whole "he's special" went away real fast.

Personally, I think it is a huge waste of resources to try and lock people up for taking drugs. The orignal DUI, I support, but beyond that, let the bitch (or anyone else) self destruct if they feel like it. It's a free country. I support going after the dealers, but the hell with the users.

The simple solution would be for the 'slebs to combine their funds, buy an island and turn into a hedonists paradise.

They can get as fucked up as they like then. Snort coke out of some paraplegic midget's arse, video themselves getting fucked senseless, execute any paparazzi they don't like and mow down anyone dumb enough to be wandering the tarmac of an island of pissed up rich folk racing Lamborghinis at 2am.

My kids liked her in Parent Trap a decade or so ago. Beyond that I've not seen, nor cared to see anything she's done.

If she gets too poor, she could always do hard core pr0n. Maybe a lesbian prison movie of something. :clyde:

Except that since they're surrounded by their own kind - a population of celebrities only - they become the norm and lose their exclusive status and presumably their need to stand out in a crowd or manifest their rebellion in unpopular ways such that society must reply with a strong message or to make an example.

So then they'd have to bring along their personal slaves too, so they can feel special again. Which leads to a cycle of Rinse, and Repeat. The proposal can become problematic.

Fuck no. She's a spolied bitch that's devoid of any talent, has a MASSIVE sense of entitlement and thinks she's above the law and better than everyone else just because people are stupid enough to follow her around with cameras.

That cunt is a shining example of what's wrong with this world. :bailey:

Meh. There would be no shortage of celebrity-worshipping asstards who would volunteer for the slavery. Plus this celebrity thunderdome island might have the added benefit of drawing in all the bottom-feeding scumbag celebrity gossip reporters. Might be a good place for a bombing, now that I think of it.

They wouldn't stay there all the time, I would image they'd also be busy getting in the public eye elsewhere and filming movies. They'd just have someplace to go when they felt like being the spoilt little shits they are.

If you're dumb enough to move to an island filled with rich idiots who've created a responsibility-free zone for themselves, well hell, you're probably going deserve every last indignity they'll visit upon you, up to and including feeling Roman Polanskis cock work it's way up your sedated arsehole.

So those personal slaves wouldn't but slaves, just idiots who value being Paris' plaything over being an actual human being who values worth in measures other than basking in the virtual sunlight emanating from some 'slebs plastic surgery enhanced arsehole.

You know what... Yeah, I do. Normally, people have friends and family around them who can help to intervene when someone goes on a path towards self destruction, but it seems like the money has perverted those relationships for Lindsey, most notably, her parents. She's rich enough to tell them to go fuck off and too young to know that that may not be wise... but given some of the shit I heard about her parents, maybe it is?

My point is that there seems to be nobody around this girl who is genuinely concened for her... She seems to have built no relationships that she couldn't do without and want to better herself for... or the ones she has built don't care enough to tell her to straighten the fuck up... for that, I do feel sorry for her.

    OMG! :soma:

Lindsay is flakey enough that some production companies won't touch her. But her antics are fodder for Extra, TMZ, et al.

Just put them together and give her a reality show. It will be like what, the Anna Nichole Smith(?) show from awhile back or the Paris Hilton/Nichole Richie show.

I agree with everything except the talent comment. She has TONS of talent, which is what makes this so sad to me. We could be enjoying her Anne-Margaret-like movie and singing career, instead of watching her piss her life away.
