Me? I'm watching the Bears/Falcons game at my friend's place (he got the NFL package for free on Direct TV), then going to a different friend's play reading. Probably will cap it off with an easy dinner with the wife. Not watching any specials, not wringing my hands in rememberence, certainly not taking to the streets to wave a flag and yell USA! I don't feel the need to do anything other than live my life exactly the way I normally do. But that could just be me.
Actually, it's pretty easy. Fail? I hardly think so. Of course we know your penchent for things that are "hard".
I think Wordforge is no longer dividing between party lines, it's now "Those who are pretty happy in life" vs. "Those who harbor rage and insecurity issues".
church, watch a couple of Youngest's soccer games, maybe a little football as well. Oh yeah...and put out the flag.
And then there's the "don't give enough of a fuck to give a fuck but give enough of a fuck to reply in this thread" segment.
there's always the "do give a fuck, but don't give a fuck enough to reply". **Disclaimer: This post is not a admission of giving a fuck and should not be taken as such.
I'll probably be writing a blog entry that'll leave my enemies spittling worse venom than they accuse me of, and leave friends worrying about my psychological health. So, pretty much a regular day.
On the 9th November I'll be at work. Just like any normal Wednesday. ...yes, your date format is stupid and backwards
I'll be remembering the family member I lost on 9/11. And I'll be watching the ceremony at the memorial. That's going to be powerful. I watched a documentary by Steven Spielberg called 'Rising: Rebuilding Ground Zero' a few days ago that followed the construction of the reflecting pools and I think they did an excellent job. I couldn't think of a more fitting tribute. I highly recommend the documentary. It's all about the rebuild. While looking up info on that, I noticed that the Jules and Gedeon Naudet documentary that ran on CBS has been updated. They went back and interviewed the some of the firefighters they covered that day. I won't miss that.
Actually, I'll be at work with about 20 doctors who were instrumental to the response on 9/11. Kind of sucks that we have to work that day, but duty calls. ... Not only will I miss the ceremony, but the Bears Falcons game too.
I'll probably try to catch one of the memorial shows being played on TV, then hockey later that night. Same as usual for a Sunday.
