Church, eating out afterwards with my family. And avoiding the tv so I won't have to see numerous remembrance specials!!!

I'm going to my parents' house. Sept. 11 is my dad's birthday. He's celebrating by grilling pork chops and chicken and watching the Bears game.

Also, I have some minor electrical work to be done on my car (busted clockspring) which I'm hoping my brother will be able to help me with.

I swear when I first saw this post, that's what I thought it said. :flow:

What am I going to be doing?

Just living my life. That is probably the best way of remembering all those who lost their lives that day, and those who still suffer from those events.

Because if we let that event change us too much, the terrorists have won.

And I'm sure I'll talk with some of my college dorm mates, either online or on the telephone. I still remember all of us sitting in the dorm lounge, glued to the TV for hours and hours, discussing everything under the sun related to 9/11 and wondering about the future.

And I remember my roommate from New York making frantic calls all morning trying to get in touch with friends and family back home. I was trying to find something reassuring to to tell him, but words were inadequate...

Amazing how a day like that sticks in your head.

Spending another birthday contemplating the shock of the 42nd one initially, then since it's Sunday either rolling over till noon or getting up and doing whatever needs to be done that day. Might blast out to the island and go up the coast a ways to a little marina I know.

I'm sure I'll catch something on the tube concernng the tenth year but really don't know what it'll be till I get there, if I get there.

I could drop dead tomorrow for all I know.

Day at a time folks, day at a time, been that way all my life because the best laid pkans and all that rot.

Meh, the media and politicians have had enough time to exploit the tragedy that now it doesn't really register. When I here September 11, now days the first thing that comes to mind is that that was the day in '07 when I got back from Iraq. Kind of a pivotal moment in time for me as that was when I met in person (actually two days later, but I was preparing for the date already) my now life and got introduced to Seattle both of which have defined my life since then.

As to what I will physically be doing, not sure but probably the same as normal, wake up at 4:30 to put on the call to prayer (we switch off who wakes up, it'd be my day) then maybe a mission in the morning, hopefully back by 2 to catch chow, type up storyboard for mission, type up SitRep for mission, rest of the day try to stay cool and fuck around on the net.

Playing Wii and Xbox with my kid that morning, over to a friends for his ginormous TV and NFL sunday ticket that afternoon, and then back home for a game of Arkham Horror that evening. Probably the Miskatonic U expansion with the Curse of the Black Pharaoh. :D

That's funny because the family & I were at MB during 9/11/01. Kinda ruined the vacation.
Pirateland rules! We used to stay there when I was a kid.

Here is my planned morning schedule for Sunday:

    8:46am start taking a dump
    9:03am wipe and flush
    9:37am start jerking off
    9:59am big orgasm
    10:28am eat breakfast

If I don't, the terrorists win.

I'll go for an early morning hike around the lake and bluffs. Need to spend more time outside before the winter comes and the whole place is icy tundra till May.

Would it be unethical for me to encourage said drunks to go swimming in the Willamette then? :calli:

You forgot the "wipe and flush", after the orgasm, I think that's why people are having trouble with it possibly bleeding into breakfast...
