    The word "genocide" is being thrown around liberally. The accusation is a potent propaganda tool. But there is no such thing happening in Ukraine if the word has any meaning. The crimes against humanity that we know of or attempts at annexation - terrible though they may be - are not equivalent to the physical extermination of the people of Ukraine.

    Everyone using the phrase knows that the term 'genocide' conjures up images of the holocaust and similar crimes.
