Hey, I am not as old as you. Ok, this was a new song from the Fieldies. A great FOTN from the late Eighties: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dUyc1wR-h0 Fuck, I was an infant in the Eighties, but old British Goth makes me cum! Best music ever! Is this old school enough for you? Was there any Goth in the Seventies? No? Exactly!
Those British "Psychopath" or whatever band need to relax/lighten up. This might help them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhWZTSyD2mw
Last month ZZ Top released their first album of new material in nine years. Produced by Rick Rubin, it's pretty damned good. Easily the best thing they've done since 1996's Rhythmeen. [wYT="Originally a rap song done by a Houston rapper in the 90s."]kaIZWjItReI[/wYT]
I've never been a huge Springsteen fan, partly because I remain convinced he got a lot of credit that Seger was at least as entitled to but never got. That said, whoever does the advertising for the MLB postseason and decided to use this song in the promos is a genius. IMO this may well be the best Springsteen song I've ever heard (even though I'd love to have heard Seger cover it back when he was in full voice) [yt=Land of Hope and Dreams]mXGNq2-S06I[/yt]

There's no actual "music video" to this, but it's good music. [yt=Unshakeable - Celldweller]w2WT2hH36Ec[/yt]
whatever you might think of country in general or the show "Nashville" in particular, they have done a very good job finding relatively unknown yet excellent songs to suit the story. Whether it's pop-country stuff for the Juliette Barnes character.... Or Reba-ish stuff for the Rayna James character... Or more powerful stuff for the "unknowns"... Usually borrowed from under-appreciated acts like the Civil Wars. Try this one, particularly for the female part (Claire Bowen has a future either as an actress or as a singer)... [yt=Fade Into You]fdFCxsToVpo&feature=related[/yt] This is the same duo, singing a Civil Wars song and you can actually see them in this one: [yt=If I didn't Know Better]gAI_1FsJ8rE[/yt] You'll notice a gray-hair watching the perform in that one - that would be J.D. Souther best known for songwriting for the Eagles, Linda Rhondstat and others back in the day. The last episode features a forced duet between the two divas which is not exactly a classic but it's a fun little pop-country piece, well executed. But there's not a video for it yet (frankly, these people could take a lot of lessons from Glee in terms of self promotion via getting the songs out there to be seen and heard) Probably the best song by "Juilette" on the show (presented as "pop-country princess trying to prove she can deliver a real country song) is this one: [yt=Undermine]NwyFKL7hXjE[/yt]
