Don't know to be honest. I have several recipes books for Indian and Pakistani food, but the one I have used the most is one that is written by an ango-Indian chef, so I assume it's the Mumbai version. I do chicken and prawn versions.
Why ban him now that he's finally being entertaining? I say match his threats with threats of a lawsuit aimed at requiring him to post here on a quarter-hourly basis, 24/7. It would have about as much merit as his legal claims and his reaction would be hilarious.
I dunno. I kinda reckon he'll go overboard (as if he hasn't already) if he gets banned. I don't know why he just doesn't have his account unlocked. He'd get more attentiuon that he's getting on FB. Lets face it, he wouldn't be getting any at all if I wasn't reposting his mental breakdown.
You are not the first person to say that. I have actually heard certain styles of Indian cooking is done better in London than back in India! Do you use turmeric? If yes then its Mumbai, if not, something else.
Its not for everyone, thats for sure. You gotta acquire the taste early, unless the cooking style is Westernized.
Notice how all of a sudden it's gone from "my lawyer will destory you" to "Chup needs a full warning and I'll happily crawl back".
To be perfectly honest, I'd rather eat British food. It's what I grew up on, and it doesn't make flames shoot out of my ass like Indian food. Indian food: Tastes so good, hurts so bad!
Since I saw it asked and not answered, Wong runs StarDestroyer.net, and he's the biggest fanboy of them all - a staunch defender of everything Star Wars who even went as far as to try to compare how strong phasers were compared to laser blasters. He also wrote a pretty hilarious critique of Nemesis, so there is that.
I'm not a huge fan of British food to be honest. I prefer french cooking when it comes to meat, game, etc. I like rich food. If I do a beef wellington then the mushroom paste have to be really flavoursome, stews have to have plenty of herbs, stock & wine and so on. Toad in the Hole, etc? Pass. I really like my foreign foods as a result. Most middle eastern foods (including, of course, Iranian, which I learned to cook), Thai, Chinese, Turkish, Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, West Indian, African, and so on and so on. Anything that's rich in flavour is what I like.
Sure he called an entertainment lawyer at...what is it there...11PM over this? And what the hell would an entertainment lawyer care about it? Oh, and an official takedown notice only comes from a lawyer, doesn't it? Besides, we didn't put it up on WF...he did. It's only being parodied on WF and everyone on WF knows it's his work. How is that not fair use? No one has redistrubuted it to other internet sites. Using it on other parts of the same site is not "redistribution".
I like foreign food as well, but British food is comfort food for me. Both of my Grandmothers are of Cornish extraction, I can't wait to go to Britain and have my favorite meals made by real English people! My lady tells me I'm "too set in your culinary habits, with a not so good palate". She had to explain to me what Okra was the other day.
What sort of seafood is the best down there? I kind of want to go to Great Britain for my Honeymoon, if it's not too spendy!
I read about halfway down John Castle's rant and just had to shake my head at the sheer patheticness of it all. I couldn't care to read the rest. It's gone from silently laughing at the guy to really hoping he gets the help he needs, or we'll probably see him on a most wanted poster or in an asylum one of these days. I actually feel kinda sorry for him at this point.
Probably best answered by a Cornishman! They have most shelfishes, lobsters, langustines (sp?), oysters, muscles and so on. Most white fish as well, haddock, plaice, cod, etc. Cornwall is quite expensive.
It's the sheer energy that he's putting into it that stounds me. A new Facebook message appears about every 30 seconds. Doesn't the made ever take a shit? Must do it in his pants....
He seems to think he can just "get an injunction against the site" with no other steps beforehand. Someone needs to get an inkling about law before making threats with it. Also spamming a link to a lawyer's site with "direct comments to my lawyer" is so retarded. Yes, I am going to contact a random law site asking questions about usernames and avatars. Like I would embarrass myself doing something so stupid.
What maks me laugh is that he says he has had his lawyer on retainer for ten years. Like he could ever afford that.
It's funny because the best case scenario is that he actually has a lawyer and is spending money on stopping people making fun of a photo he put on the Internet.
