Now tell me how many of these people would have still been killed by some other means if all the guns had been magically confiscated.

Please provide a connection as to how any future gun control bills/laws could have directly saved these lives, versus just enforcing what we already have in place.

All this does is make those who agree with you shake their head sadly and vow to change things and those who disagree with you shake their heads sadly and reflect on how silly this display is.

Were you under the impression there was some "secret agenda" here? The goal is to prevent as many innocent bystanders as possible - of any age - from being killed by People with Guns.

What is more realistic is that your agenda is to disarm people who actually follow the law, making them easier prey for those who don't, because those who don't follow laws against killing people are sure as shit not following laws prohibiting what they kill innocent people with.

It might be anecdotal, but having lived with people who handle and use guns responsibly (for work or recreation or personal defense) they experience far less "tragic accidents" than people who don't really have that much experience with them.

So instead of mandatory registration, let's have mandatory Hunter's Safety training and/or similar military training for anyone handling a gun, period.

In other words, you're out shooting soda cans with a .22? No problem, everyone shooting (regardless of who owns the weapon) must show proof of gun safety training. No proof? Go to jail or get a big old fine.

I had to take the training to hunt here on post, and I don't even own a gun. I use a bow, so all that applied to me was tree stand safety.

Then you admit the goal is complete gun confiscation and destruction because there is no other way to accomplish that, because criminals don't respect laws.

The only way to prevent a criminal from comitting a gun crime is for guns to not exist.

What evidence do we have that any of these people would be the least bit interested in attending the NRA annual meeting.
