    If this dude is to be shoehorned in between McGann and Eccleston's times, doesn't that mean that 9, 10, and 11 are actually 10, 11, and 12?

    We've already had two female Doctors. They were named Romana and River Song. :brood:



    That said, Moffat has laid the groundwork to show that Time Lords can switch genders and skin colours when they regenerate, so it's not out of the question that he might go some something unexpected.
