She may be a self-entitled twat -- hard to go to a school like that and not be. But at a guess, her parents are probably complete assholes.

Then again, the ACA says that children can stay on their parents health insurance until they are 26 years old. So what does that say?''

She's completely destroyed any career prospects.

Her only option would be to go into the porn industry, which would likely fit well with her looks and obviously vacuous personality.

Parents apparently kicked her to the curb on her 18th birthday. There's always more to these stories than the headlines...

    Are you kidding?

True there's always more than the headlines. Like apparently she left of her own accord when she refused to live by her parents' rules.

I believe that's what her parents claim. They Said/She Said.

And she claims she was kicked out. Surprise, surprise.

But regardless of the circumstances and whoever's story is true, she is still a self-entitled twat. She is not entitled to go to private school, nor is she entitled to have her parents pay for her higher education.

gul is likely correct in that her upbringing led to this. Thus, parents are assholes. And daughter is self-entitled twat.

    Their rules weren't unreasonable.

Like, no running a DP train complete with anal/vaginal cream pies with a whole football team on the couch unless it's scotch-guarded.
    Stuff like that.

Also, take a look at the complete fucking pedobear creep she's currently living with, who encouraged her to sue her parents.

    How do I know he's a creep?

    Because he's a lawyer. :rimshot:

As I say, more to the story than the headlines.

I doubt the private school was her idea. And if her parents led her to believe they would pay for college (why send her to private school otherwise, unless it was just to impress people?), then reneged because they didn't like her boyfriend, they reneged.

Maybe. But she's clever enough to go public and let the world know her parents are assholes. She's got all the makings of a good corporate attorney.

ETA: Was posting this while WAB posted his above. Boyfriend's an attorney? Badda-bing!

Why am I not surprised that you appear sympathetic to this self-entitled twat?

And if you think her move was "clever", you apparently haven't seen the thousands of tweets and BBS postings that are calling her far worse names than a self-entitled twat.

You didn't actually read the article, did you? Again, not surprised you're opining on something that you don't fully understand.

She's 18 and an adult. Her parents may choose to offer her some support, but she's not entitled to it any more.

Whether she left or was kicked out, the parting of ways happened two days before her 18th birthday. The most the parents could "owe" would be two days of support.

The one you posted? No. Skimmed the pertinent facts available on a news site earlier this morning. Yanno how these stories are "developing"? Wasn't as important to me as it apparently is to you.

Well, even if she's not "entitled", to it, the least that morally responsible parents could provide is a survival kit of some sort.
A gun, some bullets, some survival manuals on hunting, a waterproof tent, a space blanket, an electric lantern with a crank generator, a zippo, some matches for backup, a canteen, a mess kit.
    Y'know, stuff like that.

I love how Garamet rides WAB for speculating then goes on to do it herself.

    Weak. As per usual.

This raises an interesting question. She's eighteen, so she could legally do porn as a highschool student. Is there a "still in highschool" or "highschool seniors" porn niche available to her?

Actual high school students portraying high school students? I'd think it's pretty rare -- just look at the issues cropping up from the Duke porn star revelations. I can see highschool students doing it on the down low, but does it really get promoted as the real thing?

Even good parents can have kids that turn out bad. As for what the parents said they would do, promises to a minor are not a contract.

The parents say she's welcome to come back, though she's going to have to live by their rules if she does.
She's staying with a friend; I doubt she's going to be living in the Zombie apocalypse. :diacanu:

Her parents may not be a-holes. They just may be bad parents who didn't teach her to be thankful for what she was already given. The sick part in all this is the judge freezing the $ her parents put aside for her college education. It's THEIR MONEY!

Dayton is apparently a fan of the "Do as I say, not as I do" school of hypocritical parenting.
