As for what happened, I was doing a completely unrelated Internet search when up pops Ponies dressed as Nazis, apparently working on a Final Solution that involves unicorn farts. Since unicorn farts are the magic solution to so many other things I found it incredibly tasteless--completely missing the "sexual" aspect of it. I just thought it was extremely fucked up but harmless and we'd all get a laugh out of it. After looking at it again, I agree that the image did have a sexual aspect to it and John likely did the right thing in deleting it.

That said, the hysterical, heavy handed way he did it is beyond absurd. On the EXTREME GRAPHIC PORNOGRAPHY!!!111 scale of things, I would submit that there are at least a handful of smilies HOSTED ON THIS VERY SITE that are more graphic and inappropriate than that image. But by all means, continue the DD&B. That's really about all this place is good for getting these days.

Personally, I don't mind R-Rated pics behind a spoiler tag, but I don't make the rules here.

It generally comes down to workplace decorum. Wordforge is generally safe for work. Cheeky words, and little emoticons won't really get noticed, but IT departments do notice cached images, and likely flag adult site URLs. The images behind spoilers still get loaded into your browser, so they still get cached on your hard drive. So even if you never clicked the spoiler tag to look, the image was still cached on your system.

Speaking of which, the reason porn went away was that Lanzman took over. [redacted] if you run a Website that has any nudity on it someone could construe that as a porn site. Then when Ancalagon had an ownership role he had a security clearance so the rule stayed. Theoretically, since I don't think any of the current owners have security clearances, the original reason porn went away on WF is moot.

That has actually been brought up fairly recently in the Shelter. The biggest concern has been whether some people will abuse the privilege or start going creepy if what few remaining female posters were to post their bewbies.
