Huh. 1) It's interesting. Since about...oh, 2008--the beginning of the Teal Colored Do-Nothing Reign--it was acceptable to put porn behind a spoiler tag with an NSFW warning. Now all of a sudden, a cartoon of ponies is so dangerous it needs to be purged from teh InnerWebs. And one of the people defending this position is the Teal Colored Do-Nothing. 2) The picture, IIRC, was a pony in a kind of SS outfit, with another pony in a Nazi outfit sitting on its back while pink clouds(?) with yellow Stars of David came out of SS Pony's butt into a jar labeled "Final Solution" (or something like that). Having spent a fair amount of time around horses (and cows, and--oh yeah, like 3 times a day standing around with a baggie, waiting to pick up what came out of my dog's butt) the idea of a horse farting seems less about porn than tasteless because it is apparently farting Zyklon gas. 3) I guess it didn't occur to me that the image was porn--excuse me "Pornographic" --excuse me, "EXPLICITLY PORNOGRAPHIC" maybe comes because I don't look at cartoons of horses in a sexual context. I had no choice but look at it when it first appeared in your post, and when I had to see whether you had uploaded it or linked it. Then again, I wasn't the one who searched for it, found it, believed that it would be perfect for a trolling attempt, and then posted it on a site where many members browse from work, whom would have that image cached in their system. Was never acceptable to put porn behind a spoiler tag because we've always known it loads into the cache. My rule was that you could link to porn images all you wanted but had to label it NSFW.
I never understood the porno rule. So we "protect" people when they're at work. But what about the pages and pages of highly questionable written content?
A pornographic image is instantly recognizable on screen. A page of text is just a page of text unless you actually sit down and read it.

This. Plus, images are cached, and can be easily retrieved. So even if you didn't see it, it's still in your browser cache, and if an IT department keeps tabs on surfing habits, explaining will be the least of your worries. URL logs are generally kept as well, and the URL for this particular image leads to a rule 34 porn site. Fortunately, I was on WF when he posted it, so people didn't have to explain to their bosses, or their significant others, why they were looking at pony porn.
