And thus we have an idea why the Russians are interested in undermining Clinton.

Putting Sen. Lee on SCOTUS is probably the key payoff. Maybe and endorsement the next time the nomination is open (which means either he or Christie is going to be really pissed)

I like Lee okay, but I'd rather see Rand Paul on the court.

Trupets say they can't abide Clinton's dishonesty, but love them a man who lied to their face and smirked about it...

Rand Paul doesn't even have a law degree. He's an ophthalmologist.

 There's no requirement that someone have a law degree to sit on the court.

Many of the cases concern regular legal questions, not Constitutional ones. A lawyer would be a plus.

On the bright side, it is one of the high-level jobs that doesn't require US citizenship, in case he can't find his State Department issued documents. :)

You've got to be fucking kidding me.

You don't think it's important that a supreme Court justice have some sort of legal education?

Rand Paul is knowledgeable about the Constitution and I'm sure he's no dumbass. He clearly knows more about the Constitution than you.

    Consent of the Senate.

However, a whole lot of their cases concern business law, property law, contracts, criminal cases, and other matters. In law school, Constitutional law is a three credit-hour course, expanded fairly recently into two 3-credit hour courses at some schools. Most anyone who's really bright could bone up and handle the Constitutional questions (half the present justices excepted), it's all the other cases where a background in law would be extremely beneficial. And then of course a justice needs to know about all the various mechanisms used by the Court. How they choose cases, what constitutes standing, etc.

She said 'ready with political, economic and military' reactions. And went on to describe a military that can deal with cyberthreats, and a policy that recognises foreign state hacking as attacks.

Now, making sure the military can respond to cyberthreats in kind might admittedly technically mean warfare once you recognise the attacks that have already been happening as acts of war and do the same for defensive and offensive hacking in response. But Chinese and American military continuing the mutual hacking that is already going on isn't what "seeking war with China" suggested to my mind.

oh ho, but you lot claim you can't vote for her because of that dishonesty, but you are going to respond by voting for a man who's second most distinguishing feature is his willingness to lie.

NO ONE is voting for Hillary because they think she's honest. Probably not even Bill and Chelsea. So the hypocrisy lies with Trumpets.

the thing is, as much as Trump has angles to profit from this run, which he's already exploiting, it may be true that he's running for a much simpler reason: his massive ego has been offended.

Trump spent millions of his own money on his run. He largely self-funded a Presidential campaign. He's probably the only candidate who wasn't making money. Hillary, in contrast, is all about raking in hundreds of millions from Wall Street and Hollywood elites, much of it piling up in her criminal charity. She doesn't really campaign, she just goes to fundraisers. She'll walk away with several hundred extra million in her pocket. Just yesterday she and Bill bought another "house".

    Hillary said this:

Hillary Clinton ad focuses on Donald Trump's long history of sexism: 'Is this the president we want for our daughters?'

Hillary Clinton’s campaign has released a new television advert that asks one simple question of voters: Would you want Donald Trump as president for your daughters.

It features a reel of Mr Trump’s most provocative statements about women.

In 30 seconds of footage he uses the words “fat” and “slob” and describes one who “ate like a pig”.

A campaign statement said it would be shown in the key battleground states of Ohio, New Hampshire, Iowa, Florida, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, starting on Friday, three days ahead of the crucial first presidential debate on Monday.

Ms Clinton, who is running to become the first female president, has frequently warned voters that Mr Trump was ill-equipped to handle issues that mattered to women.

She has absolutely no self-awareness, which is common with psychopaths. She continues to lie to a public that looks at her and thinks "shameless liar!"

Her husband is a serial rapist and she has always destroyed the lives of her husband's victims. Everybody knows this. It's who she is. Yet she seems completely oblivious to the fact that everybody is on to her.
