I have gone through a deep philosophical and spiritual change of direction. I know it seems quite small, but the shift from a troll perspective to one of a magical girl is quite different. No this does not mean rainbows shoot out of my ass, but more of adopting a philosophy that is focussing on doing things I can my way. You couple that with 2016 being a year where I lost my grandmother and a few important friends not to mention my ability to run do to some form of nerve damage in my legs it has been a focal point of change that could not be denied. On top of all of that I have seen so much more racism and hate out in the open that I had to redirect my energies to the close people in my life who are scared and hurt by the explosion of hate. Then there is the reality that as I become more empathetic the world really hurts.

Actually the health problems are on the other end of the spectrum. Think more along the lines of anorexia or malnutrition. Not that I have an eating disorder.

Is it me, or perhaps you are not very good at what you are doing? Perhaps you should practice more?

If I remember right I was trying to remember WordPress and put forge in being sort of similar to press in my head and was probably a bit high so when a new message board popped up I got sidetracked and went in. I was also looking for a new board to roost in having been permabanned at another board for pming an apology to a board moderator I had made seem very very small. It was something about private harassment when I had only sent one message to him. It was very odd because they seemed to be pretty open and laid back about flaming as long as you kept it in the right places. The trek geekary coupled with political and world event argumentation seemed to be right although I was a bit rusty on being a trekkie. I started my con going with trek cons down in NYC in high school and remember being one of the first people to cosplay the Borg after their second appearance when they took pickard in the season cliffhanger. I loved seeing Michael dorn in his panel telling stories of the fun times the cast had.

Trek fandom fell off to gaming conventions and doing meetups with the therian community that had blossomed on usenet. Also I was getting big into running paintball scenario games and breaking into the computer field and doing heavy everquest raiding. I was dming d&d groups, playing in some deep WOD groups with vampire the masquerade and werewolf the apocalypse groups. We would hold our own LARPS in hotels in Westchester for three or four nights.
