A world leader should have the ability to weather slings and arrows, but Trump instead seems to be the "lash out at anyone who slights me" sort. This thread is for recording his acts of pettiness. First up, after the US National Parks Service retweeted some jokey stuff about Trump and the lack of attendance at the inauguration, he's banned them from any use of Twitter until further notice. Admittedly, this could be the little prick of a Press Secretary he appointed (Spicer), but we blame anything an administration does on the POTUS, if our Republican friends have taught me anything.
Thanks for this excellent idea for a thread, matt. That fragile ego is, as of yesterday, a danger for all living things. As Jeffrey Kluger has written: "To call Donald Trump a narcissist is, of course, to state the clinically obvious. There is the egotism of narcissism, the grandiosity of narcissism, the social obtuseness of narcissism. But if Trump is an easy target, he is also a pitiable one. Narcissism isn’t easy, it isn’t fun, it isn’t something to be waved off as a personal shortcoming that hurts only the narcissists themselves, any more than you can look at the drunk or philanderer or compulsive gambler and not see grief and regret in his future."
What lack of attendance? You can clearly see here that Trump's inauguration has way more people than Obama's. There have been some fakes going around where the two images are mislabeled. Nice try liberal media. Everyone already knows that Trump got a trillion more votes than Hillary. Trump is by far the most popular president ever and the butthurt liberals keep trying to pretend like no one likes him. This is why you can't trust everything you read in the media. Also, President Trump has announced that the chocolate ration has been increased from 30 grams to 20 grams. Ration increases are double-plus good!
Did Obama have a larger than usual crowd in 2008? Hell fucking yeah. Why? First black President AND at that point everyone was still high on HOPE & CHANGE. It was a historic event.
Of course more people came for the Obama inauguration. It was the most history making in American history. Or arguably World History given it was the first time in known world history where a member of a previously oppressed minority group had been elected to lead the country.
When you get a new boss you don't poke fun at the new boss by comparing him to the old boss. Commonsense. They should have known better.
AND ALL OF THEM WERE FAR MORE OPPRESSED THAN ANYTHING THAT EVER HAPPENED IN AMERICA. So it still stands.
Old boss was able to take a joke. Most bosses in fact have learnt to let stuff slide. Trump ain't a boss, he's a prick.
No it doesn't. Winning an election when your own people are in the overwhelming majority is not that big a deal.
Oh and one other fact: Washington DC is a big liberal city. It also has a large black American population. Do you think such locals who out of the entire country have the easiest access to an inauguration are going to show up for Trump? Or Bush? Or even Bill Clinton? Hell even Hillary? Hell no. Now Obama on the other hand? Yeah he got a lot. What we need now is a black Republican president.
Benito Juarez was not a member of a MINORITY group. Can't you and Zombie read? Because either 1) Both of you just scanned my post. 2) Neither of you know the differences between MINORITY and MAJORITY!!!
Pakistan and India, along with large parts of Africa would disagree with you on that last statement. Both Pakistan and India have had female prime ministers, who are members of an oppressed minority. In Rwanda, their current President is a Tutsi, who are a minority and were victims of mass genocide back in the '90s.
Zombie is trying to derail this thread. Back to the thread topic: http://abcnews.com.co/donald-trump-tweets-penis/ Christ, the Republicans --- pure kindergarten.
Yes, because they do not hold an equal share in power or wealth of the country. Women are considered a minority in most countries (including the US) for the same reason.
No. A "minority" is when people make up less than 50% of the population. Women are not a "minority" in the United States or as far as I know anywhere else (correct me if my stats are wrong). Being a "minority" has nothing whatsoever to do with power and wealth. That is a classic "black power" type argument that you hear sometimes (even on FoxNews) that "Blacks can't be racist because they don't have power".
Wrong as usual. Of course, none of this changes the fact that you're wrong about Obama being the first member of a formerly oppressed minority being elected leader. The example of Rwanda I gave earlier is but one of many.
The wikipedia is hardly considered a reliable source. Try mentioning it in a room full of history teachers and you'll get laughed out of the room. Rwanda. Special case given its history.
