And they can still do Snoke's backstory.
A creative person can work around anything in fiction.
Especially Star Wars with all its loopholes, and unexplored bits.

One of the reasons I wasn't excited about the NT is that there hadn't been any mention of Lando.

Lando should have returned from the get go, but there's a lot of should of could of would of's in this new trilogy.

Billy Dee is quite frail now so that's why I figured he hadn't been involved. But I supposed with Fisher gone they had to find a way. I'm delighted if he is in it. While I am not a Last Jedi hater I must confess that right now I am not all that bothered about seeing it wrapped up with Carrie, so Billy Dee gives me an incentive.

Oh, and let's face it, Billy Dee's Lando is the coolest cat in all of SW.

Keri Russel is being eyed for an undisclosed role.

Mark Hamill is back (duh!) Billie Dee Williams as Lando (duh!) and yes, Leia is in it.
They're going to use unused footage from TLJ, and work around it that way.
So, she'll probably be a hologram.

Remember when Harrison Ford was listed in the cast of Episode VIII (presumably to avoid the spoiler of his character's fate in VII)? Not sure I'll believe Hamill's actually in it until he himself tweets about.

I'm skeptical of the unused footage approach for Carrie Fisher, but I guess we'll see...

The only way I'd accept his death, is if he downloads his brain into the Falcon to be with L3.

Correction, the unused Carrie footage will be from TFA, not TLJ.
That makes more sense, JJ knows TFA like the back of his hand, so he can blend that stuff into his Episode 9 story better.
