yeah, done with this motherfucker too - as entertaining as it can sometimes be to laugh at him. There's only so much stupidity I can see.
I think you are missing the reality that power is not always physical. Is it consensual when a woman gives herself to an armed rapist to avoid being injured or killed? For that matter is it consensual because your body gets aroused because if it is I can assure you that you are quite the consensual homosexual.
I have to agree that they would just drop the excuse of time if she were to report right away. But it is still advisable as evidence and memory fade over time.
SHERPL must have heard our head village idiot was on vacation and so he thought he would come in and try and take his place.
Lol completely false. Do you just swallow the shit straight out of Trump's butthole and regurgitate it here? He's overturned lawful jury verdicts and been questioned on those. Not to mention his treatment of people who are now co-equal as the highest office of federal government. He will not last 10 years, whether it's due to Article III sec. 1, Article II sec. 4, or Amendment II.
I really doubt the second statement. He can't decide any case on his own; but he will be the sole reason for adding an asterisk to every decision for which his vote was necessary.
So you view the fake accusers in the Duke Lacrosse rape case more credibly because they reported rape the same month it allegedly happened? But you would view the myriad of people who have accused the Catholic Church of sexual abuse as less credible because they have sometimes waited three decades? And after all, accusing Church officials is far more politically motivated that accusing lacrosse players. So you're a garbage person? Noted.
Which part of the bible gives you permission to kill your child like you killed your dog? Because you might want to warn him/her about that too.
I don't know if I fully agree with the selection process, but I full heartedly agree with a pool of 50+ Supreme Court justices who are randomly assigned to cases. This is more or less how many other countries handle their High Courts in Europe and Latin America. This helps reduce the burden on the justices by spreading out the work, it ensures that more meritorious appeals are heard, and it makes the position of Supreme Court Justice far less political.
No. Timeliness in reporting only makes it easier (or, in some cases, possible) to verify a legitimate claim. All accusations must be evaluated critically. And, in some cases, many years may pass before a claim is made. But credibility of the claim isn't sufficient, at least not in a court of law or other venue where the accused enjoys a presumption of innocence until proven otherwise. After all, people can make false claims, often very credible ones (see the aforementioned Duke lacrosse case). Claims have to be supported with evidence. No, but my straw man stunt double is apparently quite an awful fellow.
U.S. law and legal precedent don't recognize asterisks. He was confirmed according to the rules, you just don't like it and are going to pour about it for a while.
No, but politics do, and ultimately the legality of law depends on politics. If that were not so, the US would still have slavery.
Senators representing less than half of US citizens install a justice that most Americans oppose https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...out-confirm-nominee-opposed-by-most-americans Isn't minority rule great?
I've never denied housing rights to an LGBT. I've never mistreated or disparaged or harassed an LGBT just for being LGBT.
because the actual senators were voting, not every US citizen. The US is not a simple democracy, it's a constitutional federal republic. But I'm sure you knew that.
Yes, and Republicans should keep on insisting that as the situation erodes the popular legitimacy of our government. This isn't a republic. This is a monarchy and George III rules by divine right. Suck it up, snowflake.
unless the left wins (at any level of government) and the process "works" right? But this is why as crazy & chaotic & more than often polarizing as it is, our two party system is a great system of "checks & balances" and why I wouldn't want to live anywhere else and apparently many immigrants feel the same.
If you want to willfully ignore the point and throw in a red herring about immigration, that's cool. Enjoy your Sunday.
And yet you have voted for those who do this all the time, and have specifically welcomed the pain that your political victory causes to those who oppose it.
you missed my point. My point is our system is still the greatest show on earth. Can it be even better? Yes it can, and must, to survive. But the left has no lock on making it better. The left is not superior by default in improving our country. Not saying the right is always superior either.
you know you could say voting for and being part of a victory on the left can cause pain for people who oppose it. It cuts both ways.
Taking the totality of history together as a big four dimensional blob like we're Tralfamadorians from "Slaughterhouse Five"? Probably not. But for right now with an actively and openly regressive President and cabinet? Oh, fuck yeah.
Yeah, one could say that. And then be fitted with a dunce cap and sent to the corner. A homophobe having a case of the sads cuz it's not cool to scream "faggot!", anymore isn't quite the same as a woman being forced to push her miscarriage out with no doctor assistance, because stillbirths suddenly count as abortions.
You are entitled to your opinion. So allow me to ask you this: when the progressive left was in charge (8 years of Obama for example) did you personally, or your peers, take advantage of the ample opportunities available such a regime to better your position in life? And would 8 more years of this progressive attitude (let's say Hillary won in 2016) really improve your life in a substantial way? If left leaning politics is the secret of your success & happiness then good for you - keep voting democrat.
by those who choose to live here whether by birth or relocation. If by your measure there is a better country, I would say go through the proper channels and get on the first thing smoking! I bitch about the fucked up things in the US - that is my right & everyone's right. But at the end of the day I still choose to remain here.
Just don't be surprised when the dems hand the ball to the republicans instead of running with it. It is what they do when they start winning.
Actually, I do know a lot of GLBT people who did, and keeping the progression going would have improved their lives. Do you think people vote democrat just to spite you?
