Once again Anna demonstrates she and white supremacists agree in their perception of what they think Trump represents. Anna has more in common with white supremacists than you or I ever have; she apparently thinks in the same way they do It may be she gets her info from the same anti-Trump propaganda sources. You know it ain't Fox news, that's for sure. So I don't know if it's Anna's fault if her delusion was created by the same source of information about the world that these terrorists shaped their worldview based upon. IOW- they're both products, or "dupes," of the same false narrative. So maybe we should just be glad some vent their hate on internet and not in places of worship.
I have Flashy on block, so I've no idea what argument he's made. What I'm saying is not that there's no right-wing terrorism. It's that this particular guy was a complete madman who could have found his justifications in any source. Studying trends is important, but so is understanding the individual events that make up those trends. Lefties ascribing everything to "right wing racist terrorists" is no more valid than righties ascribing everything to "left wing radicals."
Interesting though that so many people with completely opposing worldviews seem to draw much the same conclusion. I don't say that to score points but because as observations go it's not obvious what conclusion to draw.
The regressive left and the regressive right do have a lot in common, even if the rationale behind the views is usually different.
I don't think the evidence supports that hypothesis. I think the evidence points to an attacker who self-radicalized online by his participation in forums abounding with far right nationalist memes and anti-immigrant, anti-Islam sentiments.
Then maybe you'd be interested to know? This is a downside of the ignore feature. He's made two seemingly contradictory statements. 1) This is essentially explainable as a consequence of an understandable reaction to a muslim hate preacher 2) There should be no compromise on freedom of speech for hate speech (when referring to the behaviour of right wing extremists, note - note just Trump supporters)
Maybe New Zealand's sympathizing with ISIS traitors has something to do with local anger against muslims? https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...remain-citizen-may-face-charges-idUSKCN1QL0GL Guy leaves the country, joins ISIS, witnesses executions, hell may have even participated in executions, yet NZ is going to let him back in with a little prison time? And he ain't the only NZ native to decide joining ISIS is a good thing.
@spot261 isn't the imbecile. But @The Flashlight hasn't withdrawn, justified, or explained his rant, so he's the imbecile. Try to keep your dramatis personae straight.
Irrelevant. Haters will always find justification for their hate. If it wasn't President Trump it would certainly be something or someone else.
No doubt you're very aware that propaganda is an extremely powerful tool. No point this round in trying to agree on what constitutes "propaganda," since it's irrelevant whether Trump *is* in fact a white supremacist, the relevant part being only what the parties believe to be the situation. All three parties say "yes" in this case (the white supremacist news channel, Anna, and apparently the murders). The inconsistent parts of their "completely opposing worldviews" in this case aren't material.
@garamet right on time, pivoting from broke cancer patients to trying to make NZ tragedy Trump's fault.
May these innocent people rest in the peace their hearts so desired, and may the universe mete out what justice she deems necessary. My prayers are with them.
Then surely the question becomes not whether Trump set out to create such a situation, but whether his actions and behaviours have in fact encouraged this. Is he a symptom or a cause? Chicken or egg? If we leave the usual partisan bickering aside surely we can agree that Trumps' platform from the start has focused on sentiment which is anti muslim and anti immigrant. Whether that is intended as extremist views or not doesn't alter the apparent link between his surprise rise to power and his expression of those sentiments. The question is one of causality. If so many parties (Anna, the News Channel and the murderer are just a tiny sample of millions) seem to draw the same conclusion then what does that suggest?
Given Flashy's posts here, I'm thinking we should probably let the authorities know to keep an eye on him. Or a seismograph, since actually killing folk would require him to move around.
White supremacists think Trump is a white supremacist. White supremacy is wrong. Therefore Trump is not a white supremacist. LLLOGIC! More Logic... White supremacists think Trump is a white supremacist. Anna thinks Trump is a white supremacist. Therefore Anna is a white supremacist. WTF Plato?!? You made it look so hard.
I was talking about you, not Donnie Smallhands. Unless you're claiming to be #RealDonaldTrump, which would fit nicely with your other delusions. Carry on.
Me, FOX news, and most of America think it's "propaganda" because we don't believe it. Imo it's ridiculous. The "best" bit of evidence I've been able to find is pre-election, Trump's ham fisted attempts to better screen for terrorists by using the trigger word "Muslim." All the rest has been fake news ("fine people at Charlottesville" to include KKK, all Mexicans are rapists, Trump wants Muslim database - all lies). I believe Trump was demagoguing; I'll make no excuses, he's a pos imo. Thankfully he soon dropped it (the blanket reference to "muslims"), and we haven't seen it since. In America, CNN continues to spread the lies (although once CNN reported about Charlottesville accurately in immediate aftermath, the true story has since never been repeated by CNN or its anchors). So my reply is "you've been hoodwinked by fake news," sorry.
Perhaps you missed it. I've been explicit. They "think alike." About one specific topic. Don't be false.
There is a video clip showing the run up to events which ends right before violence starts. It shows three assault rifles with large capacity magazines (he only takes one with him leaving two in his car) but they all seem to be covered in black tape with some sort of writing on it in white ink marker. I have heard a rumor that who wrote the name "Turk Slayer" in Greek on his rifle which was supposedly a popular Greek name/Nom de Plume by Greek revolutionaries during the Greek War for Independence.
