point of order...most of that happened before most boomers were in the workforce or of voting age. they just enjoyed the twilight of it then neglected to change the roll. it was the so-called "silent generation" that preceded them that did the heavy lifting on civil rights and the post war golden age.
And yeah, even when I agree with a particular celebrity I prefer to hear from actual experts on the subject.
in other words you sold out to "the man"...….man! Side note I was wearing a tie-dyed sweatshirt this morning. In my defense it's self made cold weather hunting camouflage, not some hippie burnout fashion statement.
right there is a prime example of the disconnect... "a decent pension" isn't a standard benefit of working full time for a majority any more. Along with many things boomer could expect, such as stable and secure employment.
Get off your ass and qualify yourself for a job with a pension. Lots of companies and government agencies do have one. My neighbor worked almost 30 years at UPS and earned her pension and you could too. Hell, aren’t you working under the table as a bouncer in an unlicensed bar without paying taxes or am I confusing you with a different Canadian poster? It is rather rich to bitch and whine when you aren’t even paying taxes and contributing.

that's not me in the picture - sorry to disappoint. Maybe I misunderstood your question - does Neil Young hunt in grey & tan sweatshirts?
still not getting the Neil Young thing..... granted it might be hilarious, but I'm drawing a blank here.
to the Neil Young pic! Give me a few minutes - I don't have a guitar but I can pull off a decent enough version of this pic on the spur of the moment. Stand by!
okay here goes - trying take the picture holding the camera at arms length with my cheap camera was not easy! No guitar, so I'm holding one of my bows.
I've been amused by all those "Everyone shows up for the Endgame final battle" videos on YouTube, and Ermey's in this one:
