I wonder if we’ll get enough info on how long antibodies give immunity (and is it just for the person or can they also not infect?) and enough testing to allow some portion of the population to go back to work/daily activities early.

As distopian/police state as it sounds I’d rather have to show my papers than risk a second wave due to the entire population going back to ‘normal’ prematurely.

If these types of results hold up it would be great, it might imply that the low death rates we are seeing in Australia/NZ are closer to typical figures and we just have more accurate testing.

This sounds great. The biggest issue that I can glean from the various press releases (because no study is available to actually read ) is that the testing isn't random. "Volunteers among people who are out and about" seems to me to be a higher-risk group than median. Still, it's hard to imagine it's more than 50% off, given the strongly-suspected undercounts. Counting probable COVID deaths, this reduces the IFR to 0.78% (source). If it's off by 50%, 1.56%, which is still a significant decrease.

And of course we need to confirm that antibodies confer immunity. Still, no question, this study is good news. None of the effect sizes were small enough to be entirely swamped by false positives.
