Not gonna lie, the first at least 5/6 of Biden's speech was great. Where was this Biden on the campaign trail?

one of two things will generally happen
    a. I'll hover over this sight every 30 minutes all day looking for a reply like it's a chat room
    b. I'll be absent for a day or two (hanging out on Twitter far too much) and when i come back find that there's 6 or 8 comments in a busy thread i want to reply to.

Generally, almost always, it's the latter - if you find this intolerable I invite you to experience the serenity that comes with choosing "ignore"

Y'all know Biden was someone I didn't have a lot of confidence in until the pandemic set in but down the fall stretch he has increasingly reminded me of a 21st century Eisenhower. I mean obviously we want a New Deal 2.0 but just on personality, He comes across as a POTUS who will be beloved personally (Trump cult notwithstanding)

as others have observed, there is considerable schadenfreude in watching him suffered a thousand cuts in the trap he inadvertently created for himself

Saving his energy for the road ahead? Donnie Boy and the MAGAZombies will throw conspiracy theory after conspiracy theory against the wall, and someone has to be the adult.

That said, after they drag his hairy pink ass out and put him in a car for the flight to Mar-al-Lago, I hope they burn all the furnishings, and fumigate and sanitize every corner of the WH to eliminate the COVID and the stink.

This comes down to Roberts, if it doesn't (and it likely will) die before SCOTUS. As much as Roberts has an agenda to accomplish, his biggest hobby horse is the legitimacy of the court. NO WAY he sacrifices that for Trump and he can surely convince Goresuch or someone to stick with him. Thomas and Alito will write hairbrained bullshit dissents but Roberts will never let the court even accept an appeal that puts them in the position of installing Trump.

As you say, they no longer need him.

I suspect it was that, and then when they tried to correct it and get the Four Seasons Hotel, the hotel refused them. Or even better, they couldn't get the first Four Seasons Hotel, so Trump told them to get "another Four Seasons", and, well...

Not really the same thing because you can't see the reporter's mouth when he says the key words.

I have to agree that it seems COVID was a huge factor in him losing. The only thing I could see to contradict this is that the dems did stop in person campaigning which some say lowered enthusiasm for Biden. I do not necessarily see that claim being true because Biden was a low enthusiasm choice on the dems behalf. I think the dems better seriously consider someone else next election because Biden's biggest draw was he was running against trump, and for better CoVID mitigation than the Trump Administration.

Did you miss the reality where joe came real close to losing, and if it was not for trump going full on retard he might have lost? This could have been a blowout with positive reasons to vote for the dem candidate. Instead it was a nail biter because they tried to lure republicans to the dem side with Trump lite.

Oh, and how is that curve to a million deaths coming?

The subtitles produce the same effect, when I look at the video I hear fuck because of the subtitle, when I listen to it without looking I hear buzz.

We'll have to see down the line. I don't think that people changed their minds so much because Trump mishandled COVID. The fact that Trump's overall performance was higher than he had any right to, and I don't know if there is polling showing that a substantial number of undecided voters or Trump voters went with Biden because of the pandemic.

The pandemic probably helped in less direct ways. Biden didn't have to run a conventional campaign of traveling around the U.S., which would have been harder for him to do. And Trump was at least somewhat constrained in holding the rallies that he otherwise would have.

More importantly, the pandemic made mail-in and early voting both far more prevalent than they had been in years past. That helped Biden compensate for his relatively weak ground game and got more people voting than ordinarily would have.
