You do relize the left did complain but you were just not watching. Obama got a lot of criticism from the left, especially when he went right. I will give you that it was harder to make jokes than with little bush or twitler, but the jokes were there. The complaints were there. There was no free ride. If you thi9nk people were going to vote for the republican to complain you might want to have the republican party run someone who is not a giant douche. You really thought Mitt Romnifeller who got taped insulting half the country for his rich donors was going to be appropriate to vote for over Obama? Obama was never given a free pass by the left, it was just that he was not allowed to be run out of office by the right that you object to.

I'm still disgusted over him promising to shut down Gitmo, and his mumbled excuses for why he wasn't amounting to "but it's really hard!! :weep:".

to my previous case: I noticed this AM that my own Deplorable 75 year old dad was posting some "defend our country against the socialist invaders" memes that were overtly implying the "fight to save our country" shit.

The bizarre thing is that even when that crowd is in complete control of the national government and almost 2/3 of the states...still, somehow, they are the oppressed victims who must fight the overwhelming odds against them.

Fear, anger, and hate are powerful drugs.

All of the flyers I've been getting in the mail from Republicans has been "we have to keep our state safe," or "we're working to keep your family safe," but they never say from what.

a recent survey found that the most anti-immigrant states in the country are those least impacted by immigration.

I saw one story quoting an elderly woman in MINNESOTA that was fearful that folks would go back to their lake homes next summer (dig the "economic anxiety" of people who own lake homes, right?) and find dirty brown people living in them.

Part of it is a symptom of late stage capitalism, in that these people have acquired something they don't wish to lose, and are fearful that the dirty poor might come and take it from them. It helps keep people at each others' throats and vote for the guy robbing everyone.

The election in the critical states is VERY close (less than 1% in several) and the circumstances of the election are very unusual. Thus far, Trump has not done anything unlawful; he's pursuing legal avenues to look for irregularities in places where the vote is close. I haven't seen any evidence of widespread, significant fraud, but there have been a few episodes of technical malfunction, including one in Michigan that, once corrected, shifted 6000 votes to Trump and changed the outcome of a local election.

I expect Joe Biden will ultimately be declared the winner, but projections in the press are not the last word.

If, once the electoral college completes its work, Trump refuses to leave, I'll be among the first demanding he be removed. But I don't think that's going to happen.

But actual vote tallies are. Try looking at a map, state by state.

Several states have not completed their counts and, though unlikely, the final result could be different from the projection. And if there are votes that are legally disqualifiable in any of the states, the final tallies could be altered.

Do you think tens of thousands of votes in multiple states are fraudulent?

As I said, I've seen no evidence of widespread, significant fraud. There's always some small amount of fraud, but it's unlikely to change the outcome.

However, when one county has a shift of 6000 votes, it's not impossible that 10,000 votes in a state could shift. It's also not impossible that tens of thousands of votes could be disqualified for legal reasons.

North Carolina and Alaska are not going to help Your Boy Donnie. Georgia has Biden up by over 12,000 votes. You're a lot more intelligent than the junior Trumps. Stop embarrassing yourself.

I don't claim this is going to change the outcome: read where I said I expect that Biden will ultimately win. I only say that it is within the law to look for any irregularities. Trump isn't legally bound to concede because the press has projected a winner.
It's usually not so close and we've never had an election where so many votes were cast by mail, so the past may not be a reliable standard of evaluation.

This would be an example of why the system works. The mistake in the case you're talking about was human error not systemic. It was reported two different ways depending on what the "news" slant was. In a country of 260+ million people (whatever the number is) we're going to see anomalies, glitches, breakdowns and events. What doesn't happen all across the country on any given day. So the vote count is real and honest and the results when obvious should be regarded as a win. Isn't that how it works?

Any decent, rational human being would see the writing on the wall at this stage. Even if, as you say, a few thousand votes were shifted here and there due to technical glitches or administrative errors, it's abundantly clear that Biden has won enough states and EC votes to become the 46th President of the United States of America.

As it stands, there is no evidence of widespread voter fraud or miscounting. Even state GOP election officials have said so. Simple logic dictates that even if (that's a big if) the Democrats rigged the election, they did a piss poor job.

Looking for "irregularities" is certainly within the law but you need to face the truth:

Your boy Trump is sore a loser and is subverting the legitimate democratic institutions and traditions of the United States of America.

Florida in 2000 changed by 1,500 votes after multiple recounts.

Are you aware of major voting results that recounts changed?

All the battleground states are separated by over 10,000 votes.

No, but, it is expected and has been expected for 240 years. Or, at least the last 60.

So, where are you going with this? If you think Biden will ultimately win, why allow trump to waste The People's money and resources? What good does it do to force Biden to use campaign funds for the transition? Remember, just because you can do a thing, doesn't mean you should do a thing.
