Let me break it down for you: Some of the "bullshit" that leftists espouse don't really pose any clear and present danger. You don't see openly gay actors advocating for people to run around and bugger each other. You don't see them encouraging women to abort babies for fun and adventure. On the contrary, the bullshit espoused by Gina Carano is a clear and present danger. She's a vocal anti-masker, when all the legitimate scientific evidence on the planet says that masks will dramatically mitigate the spread of COVID-19. The pandemic has claimed over 350,000 American lives. She's a believer that the 2020 U.S. presidential election was a fraud, when there is zero evidence and every court and government body in the country has said otherwise. Perpetuating that falsehood is what led to the January 6th domestic terrorist attack on the Capitol Building. So it's one thing to have a difference of opinion. But when one side of the debate has absolutely no basis in reality and can actually lead to harmful outcomes, there really is no debate.
Yeah, and I love the way righties try to evade what the person espouses by just calling it "an opinion". "Masks are a hoax!" isn't the same as "scooping three-kind ice cream sideways is gross". Oh, btw, fun fact: One of my dad's oldest friends just died last week cuz he was a "covid is blown out of proportion, it's all hogwash!" dimwit. I feel sad as Hell for his family, but play stupid games...
Exactly. Life-saving pandemic prevention measures, or the very foundation of your country's democracy, in no way equates to legitimate debates about taxation, government spending, etc., etc.
It's one thing to have an opinion. It's another thing to believe and espouse outright lies. I don't care what right wing nuts say, there is no such thing as "alternative facts".
This. An opinion is how you feel about something. Facts don't change based on how anybody feels about them. A false assertion of fact is not an opinion.
And in totally unrelated news: A majority, or 55 percent, of Republicans support use of force as a means to stop the decline of "the traditional American way of life," while 43 percent of Republicans express opposition to this idea. https://thehill.com/homenews/538471...medium=website&utm_content=link&ICID=ref_fark
The remaining 2% whistled with their hands in their pockets, and gradually tiptoed their way into the 55% crowd.
It's not one sided. Conservatives are cancelling conservatives that no longer serve a purpose. See Lou Dobbs. Besides, it's not like this person is cancelled. She's free to spout whatever nonsense she wants. Disney is free to no longer employ her when she has violated her contract.
I do love the cognitive dissonance where so many on the right will say they don't agree with certain opinions, say that they aren't unique to them, but then will see any criticism of those opinions as an attack on the right.
Libertarians everywhere: "Well, this is a win-win. Gina Carano was allowed to exercise her freedom of speech to espouse her opinions and Disney was allowed to exercise its freedom of association by breaking ties with someone that doesn't align with their values."
Reason is wasted on you so long as you're still attempting to defend an individual that openly incited a failed insurrection, after intentionally disarming the security force put in place to prevent the murder of elected officials that offended him. You're a traitor and a joke and you don't deserve anyone's respect.
I've bolded the relevant parts you missed the first time, traitor. Would you also like me to link to the thread where you call for a violent uprising over Hillary's emails?

Well it's not like Clear Channel tried to crush the DixieChicks for saying something unflattering about George W. Bush or anything. Oh wait...
Like oldfella, you're too much of a coward to directly defend the awful shit you support most of the time, so you usually hide behind procedural or technical or abstract objections or attempt to minimize the seriousness of said awfulness however you can.
