I love the female MMA and bareknuckle boxing but these days (other than youtube) not much is free. You have to join a streaming service (like ESPN+ for example) or Fight Pass. I'm not a sports fan so ESPN+ would be a waste of money if all I'd watch is UFC fights and I'd still have to watch on PPV (even for the undercard with many events!) in addition to paying for ESPN+. But I digress.
"at least one endocrinologist" I sincerely hope that it's not necessary to point out how utterly empty your case is when you have to resort to "well there's ONE tho!" There exists no subject in the realm of human thought where there is not "at least one" outlier to the knowledgeable consensus on any given topic. OF COURSE there's at least one endocrinologist - I'll help you out, there are several...basically the near unanimous sum of them are motivated by their religion trumping their science. But they are technically endocrinologists.
You know the 4 out of 5 dentists who agree on something? @The Ghost of Crazy Horse believes the fifth dentist who says it's OK to brush your teeth with melted caramel.
And here's a 30 minute clip of Joe Rogan explaining his stance on caramel as toothpaste. Make sure to watch it all or Federal Farmer will accuse you of not arguing in good faith.
!!! Right! Those are some damn funny comments. I especially like the gen Xer who said "laughs in 2 Live Crew, NWA, and Sinead O'Conner". As well as the references to D&D and movie/game "advisory" codes. Damn. Right wing boomers are getting their shit handed to them.
a hundred years ago, I heard a joke about the 4 out of 5 dentists, but I couldn't remember it. So, I googled it. and OMG, the list of returns is out of control! and no jokes. :-(
You have to respect the opinion of those who use caramel as toothpaste; otherwise you're intolerant, because all opinions are equal.
So Rogan has "at least one endocrinologist" that he might be basing his opinions on. That doesn't sound especially scientific to me. And looking up his quotes, there's enough "that's a man without a penis stuff" to make me doubt Rogan was being especially scientific. Was Fox not subject to medical certification like any other fighter, and placed into a particular division based on her weight and height and other statistical values? And Peterson objected to using his students preferred pronouns when asked with or without a rule about it, because he's a childish baby, especially considering he's surrounded by colleagues who insist on being referred to by gender neutral pronouns like "doctor" or "professor." https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-37875695
Stern's a hero to the left, last I heard. Of course all it takes to go from hero to zero is one wrong word.
Oh, okay, I was just Stern is rewriting history to make himself a saint, and everyone's falling for it. No one's touching him. And Bill Burr should be fine so long as he doesn't pull any Louis CK shenanigans.
Most conservatives don't like him because he's a potty mouth. He also champions a lot of "liberal" causes, so . . .
And? He also ran as a Libertarian candidate for governor in NY, and once he got the nomination, immediately bailed on the race.
So you’re saying you’ve never actually heard any lefties say he was their hero, but in your mind, as you perceive lefties, you think some would. Okay. Rock on...
Not immediately. And according to Stern, his main reason for bailing was that he didn't want to publicly reveal his financials, which would have been required. He also ran as a Libertarian because he knew he couldn't run as a Republican or Democrat due to those candidates being sewn up and it was easier than starting his own party. And, his announced platform consisted of a couple of relatively minor things like mandating work on highways (mostly the LIE, but . . . ) be done only at night, after accomplishing which he was going to resign. It was mostly a joke campaign.
Howard Stern, unlike Limbaugh, never pretended to be anything other than an "enterTAINer." Which is not to say he's entertaining. Back in the day when I listened to the radio, I listened to music. If I want to hear endless yadda-yadda-yadda, I'll go hang around the laundry room...
Your laundry room has hookers, porn stars, and alcoholic dwarves? Goddamn, bring a camera, and Youtube that shit!
Yeah, he had bad talks like "Villi Fuilaalu was lucky to fuck at age 11 w his teacher" and "Britney is a moron who should kill herself," but he's 1) apologized and acknowledged his thinking has evolved on this and 2) is nowhere near the shit spewed by Limbaugh. Not a lefty hero but I don't see his grave being a gender neutral bathroom either.
I deleted my original post because I had not listened to joe, and now I have. I finally listened to joe for longer and he is right. It would seem his statements calling the fighter a man in a dress come from a realistic position where people were going way too far in trying to affirm this person's gender identity. I have to wonder why a person is trying to get into the ring to beat up women when they have grown up as a man to the age of thirty. Something in my own head screams that fighter has some sort of mental issue. You are not punching up or being good at what you do. You are really using your advantage to hurt women or people you view as weaker than you and that goes into sadism and malevolent personality traits. Yes, I am well aware the trans community over all would lose their fucking mind and try to cancel me for saying something like that as I have tried it before. I totally give that one to joe, and after hearing his full explanation he is fucking correct. if you want to weart a frilly dress and have a tea party and be referred to as miss and compete with women at doing that I am totally with you. If you want to do combat sports with women where you beat them up because you grew physically as a male, you are a cheater and an abuser. Joe has other problems, but people who are trying to cancel him for what he is saying about MMA specifically with the trans community are wrong. I even think at the point where he is at referring to the particular person as a man in a dress in context was appropriate because that became the context when you enter the real of the physical reality of transitioning. Joe did not make any comment, as far as I heard, regarding the mental aspects of gender dysphoria. He was talking about the body from an educated position. His scientific words were even correct and researched. He kept to the lane of MMA and actual physical and medical differences. This is why I say cancel culture does exist within the left, and it does go to far on occasion. It is not nearly as bad as the right is, but joe's outrage is correct. I even respect his expertise as a person who knows technique and style for fighting a lot better than I do to comment on the nature of this fighter's bouts. He supports himself and his opinions well in this case. When people start attacking educated and well meaning discussion they do a injustice to their cause for beating up on an honest actor. You look as stupid as an anti-masker when you ignore science and physical reality for the sake of someone's feelings when it actually matters.
Aren't all sports, especially boxing and mma, sadistic and malevolent? Either in person or by proxy? Someone's gotta fail for every winner. It's all about winning, not failing gracefully. Fox wanted to win at MMA but I doubt she cut off her weiner to do it. The problem isn't Fallon Fox, it's Joe trying to make transexuals 2nd class citizens due to a problem he perceives when they try to compete against cis individuals. When has this ever been a problem? source
