I wonder when someone is going to decide it’s time to start torching the mansions of fossil fuel CEOs?

This is a problem with the way we hire and our racist immigration policies. The hispanic workers around here work in 100 degree humid weather all the time, and they are bundled up. I am assuming they bundle up because it protects them from the flying plant parts, and they can also soak some of their clothing along with protecting them from the sun. They arte also used to the heat and do it every day.

If you are working outdoors in the northern US you should be given time off for this sort of huge heat wave. I used to work all day outdoors in NY during the summer and winter. We were the refs and we were the ones responsible for watching the players who would certainly overheat. Management was always about making sure people were hydrated, and even would encourage cancellations during days that were too hot. I remember the field owner had a fucking fit during a fantasy based scenario game when people allowed a guy in a huge death knight getup go out on the field without cooling inside his costume and he went down.

We need regulation for this sort of thing.

It just goes to show the people who imagined the signs of the apocalypse in ancient times were only drawing on their own imagination because I am pretty sure water lighting on fire should have been in there. Not that I am saying it is the apocalypse, but I am pretty sure they could not have imagined that.

And the CEOs will want us to pay for it, rather than taxing them. But, I think we should just tax the shit out of them, then once we’ve bled them dry, we put them up against the wall.

Nothing to see here, just things cooking like things should cook.

It’s so hot that Canada’s sea creatures are cooking to death in their shells.

Speaking as a Vancouverite who was at the beaches smelling this awful, putrid dead sealife during the heat wave, if you had eaten it you would have been sick as fuck

Is there anyone in the 99% who still thinks we shouldn't just kill off the billionaires and re-assess our society going forward?

That's harsh. Make them do our bidding. Bezos, Gates, etc aren't climate change deniers, so what's your beef?
