I have to agree with the people who say these law proposals, along with anti-abortion laws, are just virtue signalling for the right that people do not think will actually pass. They are poorly written and thought out, and it is really just to give the base hope we will go back to the old days of discrimination against anything not white, male, or christian.

Cards are being handed out at CPAC with a 7-step plan for the restoration of Donald Trump "in days, not years!" which includes the congressional black caucus all turning Republican, electing Trump speaker, and then impeaching both Biden and Harris.

So there's at least method to the madness. Mad method, but method.
