It could just as easily be that the events of Supergirl's last few episodes take place after the end of S&L S1 and Superman has had time to fix the Fortress. (From what I remember the main thing that was damaged was that the Jor-El crystal was destroyed, and apparently the Fortress doesn't have backups.)

Anyway, it still doesn't address why S&L has been so singleminded in terms of avoiding even mention of Kara and such. I almost would prefer them to straight up say that Superman is not the same one from the Arrowverse at this point.

This. Bob Cane contributed very little to the character. Bill Finger created all of the aspects that make up Batman.

I'm enjoying this season of Titans a LOT.

This weeks ep, in particular, did a fine job at retconning the Jason>Red Hood journey in a way that both accounted for him turning into a killer but not completely crashing Jason's character on the front end. Within the context of his situation and headspace, all the choices are - if not rational as a mentality - at least rational as a plot.

Three things about this specific ep: the Bruce Jason scenes were well written and well played but damnit I STILL can't buy this dude in the Batsuit, not currently and not in the past - I'll never understand who thought it was a good idea to ask us to believe this guy is either Bruce or Batman. Similarly, as Jason and his kind of fucked up emotional situation, the actor as fine but I have a VERY hard time with that guy as Red Hood, confident near-Nightwing level badass.

This episode aside, they are getting a LOT right this season - Nightwing is basically perfect as a live action version of the comic character, so is Connor. Hawk and Dove are finally gone (yes i know they were Titans in the comics but they were SO not necessary to this show). Plus Krypto! I'm impressed.

    > Reeves and Clark are also prepping a show centered in the Gotham City Police Department in this world.

On Ep 10 of Doom Patrol and so far enjoying the hell out of it. The acting, writing, production values and concepts are all superb. I'd like to see the occasional bit of superheroics, which has been pretty rare, but that also fits the source material. And the weird factor is just right (ie over the top) considering the comics run.

To this point I'd have to say it's the best live action TV adaption of the source material I've seen yet from DC.

I never heard of them before this weekend and I would watch the fuck out of a Dead Boys Detective Agency series just based on this one episode alone (I wonder if that was a backdoor pilot?)

    fuller cast

I think the only one bothering me is the casting for Lucifer when the guy form the eponymous series is almost as perfect as Matt Reeves was playing John Constantine (REALLY hope his part of season of mists is him) and that male presentation was somewhat relevant to the in universe mythos.

still... gonna watch the fuck out of this.

I actually kind of liked it. I think it had a shot of eventually rising above the source material, which I quite liked for its time, but in retrospect suffered from being bound by the male gaze/being a product of the early 2000s. I think that given the way we have reacted to the real-life pandemic, the way women would react to all male mammals suddenly dropping dead would be even scarier than the graphic novel writers could have envisioned back then, or the TV writers incorporated now.

the producers insist they can land it elsewhere. I have no frame of reference to the print source material, but I generally like it except the actor who plays Yorick may have about as much charisma as Jim Cavizil... but that might be the point, that the last hope is a monumentally ordinary schlub.

okay, looks like they're using the comic as a storyboard... this is a good omen.
