But the key questions are as to the alleged lunging. That does not appear to be on video. There is a witness, Richie McGinnis, who has said that Rosenbaum lunged at Rittenhouse before the shooting. We'll see how he does when he testifies.
Okay, but that's not what I was addressing. I've already said once that I don't know if the first shooting was legitimately self defense. It might not have been. Rittenhouse had no business being there armed. Nobody did...but that's neither here nor there in regards to whether he's guilty of murder or not.
Steve was saying the video didn't show what Paladin said. Part of what Paladin has repeatedly said, and what I assume Steve was referring to, is the statement that Rosenbaum lunged for the gun. (In fairness, Paladin also attributed this statement to McGinnis directly). If the video were unambiguous as to whether the lunging occurred and the conditions as to whether it occurred, maybe it would be a clearer case. As it is, this part is dependent on the word of a person who works for the Daily Caller, which as I understand it thinks that Kyle Rittenhouse is a hero.
Jesus Christ! Paladin said, "Wrong video. There's one that shows Rosenbaum chasing Rittenhouse before the first shot is every(sic)fired." Jenee responded, "Bullshit. Provide a link. It doesn't exist. I know it doesn't exist." To which I responded, "Yes it does. 46 seconds in" and posted the video. I'm only assuming it was before the first shot was fired because otherwise Rosenbaum looks pretty active for a dead guy. I'm not responsible for someone mistakenly thinking I was responding to something else.
steve went back and looked. for a couple seconds it does show the two circled. A bag might have been thrown. Steve is sorry and shouldn't be looking at youtube at work. Work is distracting. Dunno what Palidin said. Rittenhouse shouldn't have crossed state lines to a riot with a borrowed firearm looking for trouble. Case closed.
He most certainly did not, but seeing as how you just admitted to being full of crap, I guess that follows.
Case closed on what? Being a fucking dumbass? Yes, that is a fact. Being a dumbass doesd not mean we get to chase your down and assault you. Violently chasing someone down can lead to them defending themselves with lethal force. Rosenbaun was certainly in need of a good shooting for his stupidity. What sort of fucking dumbass keeps chasing an armed teenager over a verbal disagreement? I really do not want to defend the child here, but he was running away. As a regular person you let him run. You do not have the right to whip the boy despite how much he really needs it. I am putting a lot of blame on the nutbar who was having a fucking episode of violence and really needed to be caged. The rosembaun guy was in a fucking psychotic meltdown. Rittenhouse was running like a little bitch. You do not get to run someone down and assault them because you got yourself all jacked up.
Boise dodges a bullet. Hotel (a couple of miles from where I live) cancelled a 2nd Amendment celebration when the implications of the featured guest dawned on them. After learning George Zimmerman was scheduled to speak at The Riverside Hotel this weekend as part of a multiday conference, the hotel canceled the event. Zimmerman was listed as featured speaker at the "Lethal Force Gun Laws 2021 Tactics & Strategies Conference." It was scheduled to take place Friday through Monday. "We recognize the immense pain that George Zimmerman has inflicted on many of our guests, team-members and community," the Garden City hotel's ownership group said in a statement. "With their respect and safety as our priority, we have canceled the event. We are unequivocally opposed to providing George Zimmerman a platform and he is not welcome at The Riverside Hotel." The hotel learned of Zimmerman's participation via social media, according to its statement. The hotel "is not usually provided a list of event speakers" in advance and said it had no idea who would be featured. "As soon as we were aware of the incendiary details, we made the decision to cancel the event." The event appeared to be organized by Old School Gun School, which is based in Washington state. Old School Gun School did not respond to multiple requests for comment. Admission to the event was listed as $3,995 for "limited early bird seating" or $4,995. The website for the event has since been taken down. "Have you ever wondered what really happened that night?" the event's website read. "The only person that knows the absolute truth of what really happened is George Zimmerman, himself. George will join us at our November Gun Law Conference in Boise, Idaho and describe the events of that night in a chronological, step-by-step narrative. You will hear exactly what happened, directly from George." In the future, The Riverside said it plans to require a full list of speakers for events it hosts.
I would consider attending the event if the admissions included a free gun and bullets for when zimmerman took the stage. I think they really missed a money making opportunity and the best con panel ever. I do not know what the fuck you are spending 5k on if that was not part of the deal.
The video is 24 minutes. The majority of the discussion regarding Rosenbaum wasn’t until after … like 15 minutes if I recall. Saying “starting at 46 seconds” might as well say “starting at the beginning.”
Yeah, the Prosecution fairly well face-planted on this case, and they really made themselves look stupid when they cross-examined Rittenhouse.
