The violinist is an individual too. Come now, tell us how it’s totally fine to force someone to carry the violinist for nine months. You’re a terrible libertarian.
full financial supports from birth to university? seriously... why is it inhumane? also who? the deluded claims of Mike Pence don't count.
"Democrat's complacency" explains why there are lot of things wrong with your country. In particular, they should have been doing anything and everything possible during the period between 2016-2020 to disrupt what that idiot in the White House was doing. (Although, to be fair, their complacency goes back further than that.) As I've said before, I don't think Biden is anywhere near up to the task of righting the good ship that is the United States of America.
If you believe ANYOBE is advocating for abortions “up to birth” you need psychological help. I have spoken.
17 and a half with parental permission Side tangent, but it's pretty fucked up that provision even exists but yanno....Murica
I certainly do. Because as Spaceturkey pointed out, all evidence points to the fact that most people who don't want to be pregnant figure that out within the first 13 weeks and the other seven percent who abort before the 3rd trimester do so either under medical guidance or due to other factors that prevented access to abortion sooner. The other 1.2 percent who abort after 30 weeks have to go through so many hoops and hurdles even in emergency situations (and trust that it's always an emergency situation if it's gone on that long) that no one with any integrity would even bother waste time discussing it. But honestly, no one should need a hard luck story about abuse or rape or a potential ruined future to not be pregnant. If you don't want to be a parent because it's not for you or not the right time or just because you'd rather not risk your feet growing a whole shoe size, it's good enough for me because it's not my uterus.
You're flying an airplane when you discover there's a violinist in the back seat. Are you forced to fly him to a safe landing, or can you demand he leave? Gosh, I hope they don't take away my membership card! So, libertarian, tell me: should a woman be able to demand termination of her pregnancy at 8 months?
Cut to; Ron Paul- *Cuts Paladins's card in half with big kitchen scissors* Paladin- Aaaahh-heh-heh-heh-heehhh!!!! Aheh!! Aheh!! Aaah-heh-hehh!!! *Hiccup* *Spit bubble* Ron Paul-
Where is the research that shows this is a real issue? Is it sort of like voter fraud where there's no proof that it's a problem, but "a lot of people say it's a problem?" Of course that's not legal under Roe...
Obviously you can demand he leave. Ship captains have tossed stowaways overboard from time immemorial. Yes. And kill the fetus too if giving birth would threaten her health. But you know no one actually terminates at 8 months unless they medically have to, nor can you find doctors willing to perform the procedure; you just want to make the woman jump through additional legal hoops to be cruel.
You appear to be …, or rather, you present yourself here, to be an intelligent person. But, you keep saying moronic stuff like this. For an intelligent person, you are awfully gullible when it comes to political propaganda.
I don't think he's gullible. Anyway, it's sort of like the voter suppression thing. Even though there's no proof, it's worth depriving thousands or even millions of people (who, by coincidence are different shades of brown) of the franchise to prevent a handful (at most) of people of the franchise.
Force him to atep out without a parachute? You're fine with that? How about if you invited the violinist to sleep in your plane, but changed your mind? Your libertarian ideals don't extend to the individual inside the woman. Then there's no trouble with banning late term abortions except for dire medical necessity? Since no one asks for them and no one performs them... Where we're talking late term abortions, I'm much more concerned woth cruelty to the unborn.
I'm asking a question to probe others' philosophical boundaries. Calling the question stupid is just a way to not answer it. Edit: incidentally, @Order2Chaos answered yes to that question, so you now know at least one non-biblical extremist.
You're not stupid, so why are you building your position on a stupid hypothetical situation, which is not legal under Roe?
1. Roe is now irrelevant (or soon will be). 2. So, last trimester abortion ban (except for exceptional dire medical necessity) ok, then?
Good enough excuse to impose your personal beliefs through judicial activism, even though you've still shown no proof that this is a real problem.
Asking the question itself shows not only your gullibility, but your complete lack of intellectual thought or compassion. The only “late term abortions” that are performed are not called “late term abortions” rather a medical procedure is performed to remove a non-viable fetus from a uterus. The procedure itself is safer than leaving the woman to attempt to naturally, organically allow the fetus to leave the woman’s body - in other words, it’s a life saving procedure. Other times, when a fetus is found to have medical issues that will result in the hours of agony until the baby dies if allowed to suffer the trauma of birth. The procedures you have been led to believe of women deciding at 8 months they don’t want to have a baby are so horrific for a woman to go through that anyone who continues to bring it up should be held to the same fate as Alex Jones playing on the horrific deaths of the children murdered at Sandy Hook. Fuck you.
My personal beliefs? You said (correctly) that Roe disallows last trimester abortions unless there's a dire medical necessity. So, we agree, forbidding abortion in the last trimester except under such terms is acceptable?
Forbidding dead people to own guns is also acceptable. Right? Your statement makes the same sense. Do you even have that much intellectual capacity to understand the absurdity of your statement?
You’re essentially asking me to answer why can’t a hippo get a driver’s license? You’re question makes no sense. No one is asking to electively abort an 8 month old fetus. You are close to sounding like FF or old fella. Do you realize? I hate to quote Young Sheldon, but think, monkey, think.
It's the law. Doing away with which may allow states to pass laws allowing the hypothetical question that has you so fervently clutching your pearls.
So, a law that allows abortion in the third trimester only for dire medical emergencies is acceptable to you, then?
