False idols don't count when they believe in them. Just so you know, here in the US, you'll find most evangelical churches have a US flag positioned right above the cross in their sanctuaries. A great many, at least the hundreds I've visited in my lifetime, have enlistment forms for the military out in the vestibule. The US evangelical community has a fixation with power and strength. Donald Trump is an embodiment of that power and strength, a power based in white supremacy, Manifest Destiny, and the like, that the US is God given, rather than settlers murdering natives and stealing their land.

Once you understand that mindset, you'll be able to see why it's okay to deify Donald Trump while casting away anyone who actually believes as Jesus taught.

TLS doesn't believe trump is a deity, nor will he admit to worshiping him. He will just deny all and sign off with a quip he thinks is a clever put-down, but one that can be defended as "I truly meant it in good faith". In other words, he will lie his fucking ass off and continue on as if nothing is untoward. I've found the best way to shut him down is to ask for the chapter and verse of the bible that reconciles his actions and words with what God/Jesus has stated. He can't. The new millenium has had 4 presidents so far, and only one of them could speak well. That one would be Obama. Evidently being a rambling hot mess who does not complete thoughts and screws up words and meanings is presidential now. I cannot blame just Biden for this as Trump and Bush did make that a thing too.

It might be nice to get a president who can speak well in the future. I can deal with a stutter, but that is not Biden's problem.

One thing I will give Joe credit for is he knows the only time that matters to american voters is between july and november of elections. You could be donald trump level stupid for most of the time, and as long as things start to look better arounbd the election you are golden because 99 percent of the american voters are fucking stupid and have ADD. T%hings have gotten worse since trump left office, and now everyone is all happy because gas dropped to 1.50 more than when trump left office and inflation is slowing down. Joe has spent a year and a half saying FU to students with crushing debt, but here comes a 10-20k cut and maybe there might be some more coming if you vote for dems in the mid terms. Don't hold your breat until 2024 you fucking assholes.

Oh, and you lost rights to abortion because joe was completely unwilling to do a thing to stop the right wing court from overturning roe? Oh great now we have some half assed measures that the courts will overturn, and you better vote for the dems because they are going to codify roe. Except for the reality that they will not do away with the filibuster, which means the house parlimentarian will never allow reconcilliation on the non-budget issue. That means you need 10 new dems to even have a chance because joe will never let his friend mitch down and start pushing to end the filibuster. Even if you got those 10 extra senators you would still have dem senators lining up to stop any codification of abortion rights.

Yeah, we all know republican Joe can speak and lie his ass off. Yes, the problem is bigger than the president anyway. However, I do not fucking forget what he has squandered and pissed away by sleeping for a year and a half. We really need someone who will fight more than from august to november of election years. GTreat he is awake now, but where the fuck has he been since he became president? Come november he will disappear with all his promises until they have to wake him up for the primaries in 2024. I hope they just let him sleep right through so we could have someone who can be awake for more than a couple of months every two years.
