That's not what he said, but you're stupid and wouldn't understand anyway. Go make me a sandwich. Hold the lettuce.
Jesus fuck, the boy's been on the stupid juice tonight. And I'm saying that from the perspective of a third of a bottle of rum.
The First amendment protects religious freedom. I'm sorry that you don't like that (unless it's Islam), but it does.
The person answering the question was very clear: The refusal in this case would not be based on status. Can a Black businessman refuse to provide a service to somebody because that person is white? No. Can a Black businessman refuse to provide a service to somebody because that person is a member of the KKK?
As someone said in the comments, it's lawyer double speak. I just would rather do away with the stupid rule all together. Any business should be able to refuse anyone for any reason. Take your business elsewhere if they don't want your money.
Homophobia is a vital part of Christian worship. Just like human sacrifice for Druids....which...they don't get to do. Yeah, but Druids don't matter. Because Christians say so.
No, it is not doublespeak. It is a very real and important distinction. My friends Brittanie and Allison will celebrate their wedding anniversary in a few weeks (an anniversary that, had the Supreme Court in 2015 shared your "states' rights" fetish, they would not have). The scenario in this case is equivalent to them hiring somebody to make a website saying "hey, Brittanie and Allison are getting married." The scenario Amy Coney Barrett proposed is equivalent to them hiring somebody to make a website saying "Christianity is evil and should be outlawed." (Which is something they would be very unlikely to do, insofar as they are both practicing Catholics. Just thought I'd throw that out there in light of Barrett trying her best to pretend that being Christian requires being an anti-gay bigot.)
You're probably not going to agree with this, but here you go. https://www.christianpost.com/voices/yes-christians-are-being-persecuted-in-america.html https://townhall.com/columnists/joh...nation-against-christians-in-america-n1701966
Don't worry @Bill Carson, once you graduate high school and college, you can apply to law school to help you understand what they're talking about.
Yes. Being christian means you are part of a religious group or particular religion. It's not the same being a part of a club.
Is your claim that homophobia is an integral trait of being a Christian? That one cannot be Christian without being homophobic?
This is no different than the cake thing. This Biden lawyer is trying to pull shenanigans on ACB and she sees right through it.
If you really think it's unfair someone not being able to put up a "no n****rs" sign while others are allowed to ban KKK members then you should probably just walk into the ocean and keep going until the bubbles stop.
What’s the most realistic thing that would happen? You go to a web designer and ask to make a wedding announcement and you’re in a same sex marriage. The web designer tells you to pound sand because it’s against their religious beliefs. Do you (a) make a big stink about it and try to force them to do your announcement or (b) tell them to kiss your ass and take your business elsewhere?
