I mean, look at it, it syncs up with the Flashpoint comics. Flash doesn't go to the Keaton timeline, he creates it by saving his mom. How does a timeline change create Keaton? It doesn't, he has to be there already in another form.
Maybe. I think Keaton's timeline has always existed and that's why Gotham looks so different. Why else would he have the same Batsuit, the same Batmobile the same Batwing and more or less the same Batcave? I wanna know what's up with this Supergirl, does she carry over and is she going to be in the Supergirl movie and if so, does that mean we're keeping with the Snyderverse aesthetic? I'm very interested to see how this all plays out.
The Flashpoint comic (and animated movie) explain that when Flash makes the change, it doesn't just change the present, it sends change ripples back in time too. Dumb, I know, but go with it. That means Kara comes to Earth instead of Kal, and gets captured by the government. Gotham city's architect can be different. Thomas was named Bruce, and became Batman instead of Batfleck, and Batfleck was never born. And any other changes that erase Aquaman, Cyborg, and Wonder Woman, because Flash says there's no metahumans. This means the Keaton-verse was retroactively the Flashpoint timeline all along.
Some folks managed to get some shots of Joker 2 filming. https://twitter.com/thwipt_/status/1632169869780156416?s=46&t=iYW3foyqIA6Tn8VWwn3nwQ
David Ayer said Joker's "damaged" tattoo on his head was supposed to be him trolling Batman about his smashed out teeth. The reason he has the metal grill is Batfleck punched his teeth out with his built-in steel knuckles offscreen. Anyway, that's the logic to it, but he says if he had to do it over, he wouldn't have done that. He still stands by that we would have liked Joker's arc better if the studio didn't chop it to pieces. https://www.darkhorizons.com/ayer-regrets-suicide-squad-joker-tattoo/

James Gunn is directing "Superman Legacy". I just assumed it was a foregone conclusion, but I guess they had to jump through the hoops before officially announcing. https://www.darkhorizons.com/james-gunn-set-to-direct-superman-legacy/
Hmm. This would be Gunn's first "straight" superhero film, wouldn't it? Unless the Superman also becomes a series about a wacky group of misfits going forward.
"Brave And The Bold" is going to be the Bat-family, so I speculate "Superman Legacy" will be the Superman-family. Superman, Supergirl, clone-Superboy, Krypto, maybe Arn Munroe if Gunn wants to deep cut.
Maybe. Trickier if you're recasting Superman with a 25 year old. Sucks that they killed and resurrected Cavill without giving us Reign of the Supermen.
my one concern is that I'm strongly biased to the idea that Bruce and Clark are, apparent age wise as well as superheros, fairly close contemporaries. I fancy the idea that Batman is still more urban legend than anything to the world outside Gotham when Supes appears in public - but not that he's been at his bit for over a decade at that point. There's good storytelling in the idea that there were unpowered vigilantes - Batman, Green Arrow, and the like, and also some scientist doing comic book stuff who are not yet costumed, like Ray Palmer and Ted Kord and whatever Mr. Terrific's original name is...and maybe even some magic users discreetly doing good (Doctor Fate etc) - in the world but no really metahuman THAT THE PUBLIC KNEW ABOUT until Superman appears - and his appearance "normalizes" the idea of metahumans (even though he's technically not human) I'm a lot less interested in a Bruce that's 10-15 years older than Clark (even though I though Afflack made a fine Older Bruce on his own terms) Also, I think I've said this before, If indeed The Brave and the Bold is a mature Bruce mentoring a younger Bat Family, then I'm going to say it often...that Bruce should be played by Anson Mount.
Looks like Shazam is tanking at the box office. https://variety.com/2023/film/news/shazam-fury-of-the-gods-box-office-previews-1235556622/amp/
The critic consensus seems to be "meh, wait for streaming/cable ". Far as I know, no one's like "awww maaah gaaawwwd, it's so bad it killed my faaamilyyy!!! ". It's just "meh ".
I was never a fan of Shazam in the first place although the DCAU did a decent job with him and I don’t care for Black Adam either so I was never really interested in either movies. With Black Adam’s lackluster performance at the box office, the Rock’s overall attitude over the DCU, the Henry Cavil cameo that we know is meaningless, it doesn’t surprise me that audiences aren’t that enthusiastic about this movie. I say wake me up when the Superman Legacy trailer comes or The Batman 2 or Joker 2, I’m much more interested in those movies.
Zack Snyder is dropping cryptic hints that add up to the Justice League Trilogy will be re-released/released on IMAX. So, if true, Snyder Cut will get its theatrical run. https://www.darkhorizons.com/snyder-keeps-teasing-his-dc-trilogy/
Yeah, it's a pretty sure bet the series is getting wiped out or rebooted by Flashpoint, the villains are original characters and not comic book favourites that anyone has waited decades to see in live action, and we all know a Shazam/Black Adam crossover will never happen with the current guys, so why would anyone rush out and pay money to see it on opening weekend?
Both "Black Adam" and "Shazam: Fury Of The Gods" were supposed to have a post-credits where Shazam and Black Adam meet. Dwayne Johnson shot them both down. Sounds to me like he's being a pouty baby cuz he didn't get James Gunn's job. Dwayne, you were never going to be James Gunn. https://www.darkhorizons.com/dwayne-johnson-nixed-shazam-credits-stinger/
Johnson, like Vin Diesel, is notoriously insecure about looking like a tough guy. Casting him as a superhero when most superheroes are supposed to get the shit kicked out of them at least once per film was never going to work. https://www.gq.com.au/entertainment...s/news-story/459133902ac44957819fb2f93b6e29ef
