Fox News viewership has dropped by almost half since Carlson was fired. The video he put out got 73 million views. https://www.forbes.com/sites/mollyb...in-days-following-tucker-carlsons-firing/amp/
At least a third of which were likely folk on the left watching to see how much more batshit he's gotten.
No. His tweet appeared in folks’ timelines 73m times. 22m clicked and watched at least some of the video.
It is one thing for Skippy to not understand how the metrics work. No one here expects anything else. But Elmo responding to the false info because HE doesn’t understand how Twitter’s metrics work is just *chef’s kiss*.
Leaked video of Carlson and Piers Morgan talking about sexual techniques. https://www.mediamatters.org/fox-news/foxleaks-tucker-carlsons-creepy-behind-scenes-comments
why... you still wouldn't understand how metrics work, would you? why would he apologize when he's factually correct?
Apologize for what? Please use your words and fully explain what you believe I should apologize for and I’ll consider it.
Sam Harris (yeah, I know) made a good point on his podcast. Tucker Carlon spent four years promoting Trumpism, and it's now been revealed that he privately sees (and saw all along) the whole thing as an incredibly destructive movement that needs to be stopped - which is an admission of utter hypocrisy and total dishonesty for years on end. Yet he will pay no price as a journalist for this.
Tucker Carlson’s Text to a Producer EXHIBIT 276 Tucker Carlson January 7, 2021 — 04:18:04 PM UTC A couple of weeks ago, I was watching video of people fighting on the street in Washington. A group of Trump guys surrounded an Antifa kid and started pounding the living shit out of him. It was three against one, at least. Jumping a guy like that is dishonorable obviously. It’s not how white men fight. Yet suddenly I found myself rooting for the mob against the man, hoping they’d hit him harder, kill him. I really wanted them to hurt the kid. I could taste it. Then somewhere deep in my brain, an alarm went off: this isn’t good for me. I’m becoming something I don’t want to be. The Antifa creep is a human being. Much as I despise what he says and does, much as I’m sure I’d hate him personally if I knew him, I shouldn’t gloat over his suffering. I should be bothered by it. I should remember that somewhere somebody probably loves this kid, and would be crushed if he was killed. If I don’t care about those things, if I reduce people to their politics, how am I better than he is? I'm kinda torn. This is what he was dismissed over...
But he's not a Putin-sucker, and he didn't learn his Putin-sucking from Tucker. Nope, nope, nope. Perish the thought. How dare you even think it? How dare you sirs?
I have been consistently against military intervention and the military industrial complex complex for at least twenty years. My posting history speaks for itself on that position. One can be against military intervention and not be a “Putin sucker”. I guess you’re too stupid to understand that. RFJ Jr is against this proxy war, would you call him a Putin sucker? Oh that’s right he doesn’t tow the party line so you probably would because that’s how stupid you are. Your binary thinking doesn’t allow you to think that maybe there’s more than one reason to be against this other than “he saw it on Tucker and he’s a Putin sucker. You’re so shallow and pathetic.
How are we intervening militarily other than sending them weapons to defend themselves against and illegal invasion?
We have members of the US military acting as security guards at our embassy. Oh, and maybe a couple of guys making sure that the stuff we send to Ukraine actually goes for what it’s supposed to.
Intervention doesn't just involve troops, but you guys knew that already and just wanted to be jerks.
True. Intervention includes an array of responses. Some subtle some not so much. However. You explicitly said ‘military intervention’ which both in domestic and international law has some pretty specific parameters. So. Use your words. What do you see as our military intervention?
Troops are pretty much a requirement of a military intervention which, as @Ancalagon pointed out is exactly what you said.
Slight nitpick. I’ll go a step further and say that under most interpretations regular troops sent to engage as a participant are a requirement of a military intervention. Last week when Germany sent the KSK (Kommando Spezialkräfte) to secure Khartoum Airport while they got European nationals out no one considered that a military intervention in Sudan’s new civil war.
