Well, he's going to have trouble finding so many of them now. I'm sure that plenty of people agree with that sentiment, they just don't like it being said aloud. You know, it upsets the help.
There's a hard-core racist/bigoted base within the Republican base that this will appeal to, but it won't do anything to broaden that base. That's the ultimate problem with playing to the hardest core of the base. If you're going to win a general election in a two-party system you've got to get some persuadable voters to come to your side...not to mention the fact that you also run the risk of going too far for some of your base and driving them to the opposition or just helping them decide to stay home.
Steve Bannon’s calling for someone to primary Sporkfoot, saying she’s gone soft. https://www.rawstory.com/marjorie-taylor-greene-maga/
Looks like RFK jr is getting a lot of exposure, Jack Dorsey is endorsing him, Elon is having some sort of forum with him and Fox News did a really good interview with him. I don't think the DNC will be able to Ignore him forever and if they have nothing to fear, why not open up the debates?
They have nothing to fear from the mad hobo on 14th who screams about gay aliens conspiring with the Jews either, doesn't mean you give him a platform.
Where’s it say in the bylaws of any political party that they have to do such a thing? Oh, and what’s the track record of a party that ditches the incumbent President for a primary challenger from their own party in retaining the White House?
It’s not necessarily a bad gamble. With our hyper-anti-partisan divide meaning 45% of each parties’ likely voters will vote for the nominee AND the structural issues of our system giving the advantage to Republicans in the Electoral College just getting the nomination gives any R an automatic ~40% shot of winning the general. Never know when some Russian interference or a Comey memo will sway last minute undecideds in key swing states to eke out an EC victory.
RFK Jr. benefits from his name and not having to split the ‘not Biden’ lane. That is all. Let him stick to preaching to the Rs on Twitter Spaces and Fox News and then highlight his kookiness and mendacity in context. No need to platform his lies.
That’s the way it works. Unless, you get out there and work. Both parties have billions to throw at the election, so if you want to beat them, then you need either as much as them combined, or you need an army of volunteers, out talking to people, if not both. That gets you around both the party backing the incumbent and unfriendly media. Know any challengers who have that?
The whole clown car is a laugh riot until you realize they are competing to lead the US. Even @Uncle Albert and @Bill Carson are comedy gold until you realize they are not locked up in a rubber room where the monkeys belong. A republican zoo would be the funniest place on earth as long as the animals were not loose and throwing poop at you.
Are we all supposed to forget about the George Washington Bridge closure, or is this one of those "only kills your electoral prospects for one election" sort of scandals (and why the hell do those exist anyway)?
I am pretty sure closing the bridge to own the woke liberals is a positive for the republican party. It is not that people have forgotten, but rather we have accepted the republican voter is a complete scumbag who loves the clown car full of the worst people. My only question is why people with a tiny amount of integrity are trying to get into the trump omnibus clown car. The clown car keeps kicking Mike Pence out because he is just not horrible enough to make the cut, and he keeps trying to argue he is that terrible and awful, but he won't rape a bitch to get admission.
I love the George Washington Bridge closure. So long as it's not on my commute it adds to the entertainment. Besides it encourages public transportation.
for the sake of traffic in the area you should do everything you can to avoid the GWB. It is a bit of a dick move to close lanes exiting it, but it is one of those things where you should bypass if possible.
No comments on Mike Pence officially running for prez? I do wonder if he knows who his base is supposed to be. Most Trump supporters are presumably going to see him as a wimp, a traitor or a wimpy traitor. Most Trump non-supporters are going to see him as part of the problem. I don't think that there is going to be a convincing/satisfying way for him to thread the needle of "I am proud of all that we accomplished in the Trump/Pence administration" and "I am a better choice to resume the good work of the Trump administration than the guy I worked for."
