    exactly?
na, pretty far off I'd think as it was contextually clinical/safe space. presumption of traits, maybe? but yeah, learned rather than biological.

they're both rails, jsut not sure if they stay part of the same track past the first few switches...

The one thing I weould love for the entitled manbabies in this thread to answer was how often does the world come and ask you to approve the words we use in language? How muc of an entitled asshat do you have to be to determine people need to ask you if cis is OK with you? Did they ask you if male or female was ok when you were born, or did they just say fuck you this is the word we use you little POS entitled manbaby? No word in any language was run by you to see if you like it, so why the fuck should anyone start now.

Years ago there was a discussion because we needed to differentiate between cis and trans people. None of us were invited, but we all need to communicate so we use the words someone else made up and then people started using.

BTw if you make up another word for cis and make it popular then it will become part of discussion. Since you do not even want to do that you need to STFU. Fill the need or go fuck yourself.

Who the fuck do you people think you are thaty we need to get approval from you to use words to identify what you are.

I've noticed that too, most commonly from long-time poster Johnnie Walker.

Yes, when you say that you remember something there is no evidence of, it is clearly more likely that someone on staff is editing posts (and the conversations that quote that post) to remove the evidence preemptively, than that you are misremembering.

AFAIK the edit tool, even if it doesn't show tags publicly can't erase edit history that mods can see (I could be wrong in this and would be interested in testing it)

For what it's worth, while not exhaustive, sites like archive.org do include some WF threads, and if you can point to any examples of things on there that don't match up to the more recent versions of posts here I'd be very supportive of a push for booting anyone from staff who turned out to be abusing their edit abilities.

People can also just straight up delete posts as well. One post I distinctly remember was a discussion about the Supreme Court and I think @Fisherman's Worf made a comment, then several months later I made a comment in response to what he said and then we had one of those exchanges where someone told me nobody said that and so I searched for the conversation and couldn’t find it. Sure, I could just suck at the search, but the search function can be tricky as well. If I only have a sentence fragment in my head that’s just a word or two, but I have an idea which poster said what I’m thinking of, that’s not enough for the search. It says something like, not enough words or phrases. So the comment I’m thinking of could be there, but I just can’t find it or someone could have deleted it after I brought it up.

Oh wow we can. I think there is a time limit for that, because I can't delete my old posts. Come to think of it, I think I've only ever deleted double posts.

But as far as I know, the admins can still see the deleted post.

We can see deleted posts, yes. Also, yeah, I didn't know old posts from further back could be deleted. I think I'll raise that up as a potential issue. I mean, it's okay if you double post and delete it, but a post from a week or a month ago? Don't like that.

I always thought that deleting posts was a thing that could severely fuck up the database. (Though that may have been something I heard about an old system that's no longer valid.)

It's not fun for the database, but the deleted posts are still readable by admins, so they're not truly deleted. An admin can permanently delete a post, removing it from the database entirely, but that's still logged in the system. It's not something done frequently if at all.

In a situation where I with mod powers just deleted a post I made immediately prior to this one it still remains in the quoted post, and I can see a notice that there is a deleted post.

None of which changes the fact that I don't believe anyone (both yourself and Dinner have repeatedly stated this claim as fact) has ever been able to show a single actual example of it happening that can't be chalked up to false memories or a clunky search tool.

Okay fine. Just note that the next time something like that happens, I will be writing it down so that I remember exactly who said the thing, what thread it was and what was said and when it was said.
